Favorite Nursing Bras?

Bravado Body Silk Seamless! I have 2 of them and have been wearing nothing but them for about 2 years. So comfortable and easy to work one-handed. I have tries another bra from an expensive lingerie store that a friend gave me....OUCH! I tell everyone about the Bravado Body Silk Seamless.

Check out Motherhood Maternity. They were wonderfully helpful (if you could go in), but you can also order online. I really loved the sleeping bra that they recommended (helped tremendously with back pain) http://www.motherhood.com/Product.asp?Product_Id=97635036... although it did not wash very well (it pilled after a while). Despite that, I plan to buy another one when I get a little closer with this baby. Also, check out their nursing tops. Some of the camis are just wonderful.

I see someone else suggested The Pump Station to you in Santa Monica. They also have a location in Hollywood. They are GREAT. The nice thing about them is that they will totally FIT you to size so you find a great bra with a excellent fit. Also, they have a lot of options for the larger sized bra. I was a DD pre-pregancy, and after my milk came in I was a size I had never heard of before. The Pump Station saved my life! Well worth the drive, and the money.

There is another store I found since then that have nice nursing bras as well, and they have just as good service. In fact, I find their prices to be a tad bit cheaper than The Pump Station. HOwever, they are located in Montrose (near Glendale). So, I'm not sure if this is an option for you. But, it is called Bellies, Bosoms and Bottoms. It is a great maternity/newborn store.

Not sure where you live...but if possible, go to the Pump Station in Santa Monica and get the Bravado nursing bra. They are a bit pricey (about $40 each). I bought 2 and have been wearing them both for the past year. My daughter just turned one and I'm still nursing her.

I LOVE QT nunderwire nursing bras from motherwear. I bought the pink one and absolutely love how it fits. I have only tried motherhood maternity bras and don't like how those fit. I feel like this one really lifts up my boobs that need that extra lift! I would try motherwears website...really cute nursing stuff!

I got mine at Nordstrom. They weren't the molded cup kind but they are pretty thick lace that hid the nursing pads. Mine had underwire but there were several types of nursing bras there. I am currently a 34G and no need for special ordering! Good luck!

Find a baby botique type store. or even some right start stores carry nice ones. I had motherhood ones with my son and I hated them but they were cheap...like $20. Never get a underwire because when you open it up the underwire wants to flip up! With my daughter I found a nice baby store/ nursing store and I got one I loved and looked good. I had to pay more....$50 but it was so worth it. I would not get until after your milk comes in. I got one too early and it ended up being too big. I just wore sport bras for like the first week and then got a good bra.

I am alittle chesty and LOVE LOVE the bravado brand. You can buy them online [they have a fitting page that tells ya how to measure to fit proper]. They have bras for the smaller chested all the way to the heavy busted/need lots of support. I recommend them!!

I saw that a few other suggested the Bravado Nursing Bras. I LOVE these bras. I started out with a couple from Target, and one from a speciality bra store. Well, the target ones wore out so quick, and I NEVER wore the expensive speciality store one. I grew a lot in the chest area during pregnancy and after delivery... and it just didn't expand like I needed. That's what I love about the Bravado ones... they stretch with the fluctuations of nursing. Only found them because the gift shop at the "Woman and Infants" hospital I was at had them. Check it out online... you can search for a store that carries them if you want to do try them on. Or you can use their fit guide online. I also found that there phone line fit-consultants are so helpful. My favorite styles were the: original nursing bra and the exquisite nursing bra (on sale now!).

Bravado tanks are great too. I had trouble with Target tanks because they only had a small hole to fit your nipple though for nursing. I was way to big and to new at the whole thing to make that work. Bravado's tanks drop fully away from the breast so you have lots of room to nurse. They are more expensive... but they are SO worth it and hold up well. I nursed for 18 months, and then put the bras away to use for a next child. Wash them in a mesh bag and hang to dry... and they wlll last forever! Good luck!!

I had the same thing the 1st time....2 places I found better bra's, 1 was Mervyn's, I know no longer there. But, they were made by Playtex. They were white, so, they weren't sexy. And Nordstrom, where i found black! I also have a large bosom and these worked for me, no underwire, and they didn't have foam-I know what you mean, but, they were way better than the uniboob. I don't think I've seen molded cups on nursing bras - maybe b/c it wouldn't work with pads in there? Anyway, I love Medela nursing bras. They go up to very large sizes, are super comfy, and very supportive - they keep everything up and separate. Mine get really big and I did not find any better than the Medelas. They are reasonable, too - around $40 compared to $75 for the ones at Nordstrom's...

First time nursing I got a few from Motherhood which didn't hold up very well. This last time I found nursing bras at JC Penneys they were made by DUO and were super comfy. I too was in a DD but was able to buy them at the store rather then special order. Some stores carry more then others, not sure where you're at but Montclair Plaza had good selection. Good Luck.

I'm a big fan of Medela. I used the sleepbras at night...they are absolutely the most comfortable bras to sleep in! And during the day used a different Medela one. I can't remember the name, but there was a pretty patter on the front, no underwire, very comfortable,flattering and did the job. I used them for two different stints of breastfeeding, so they also held up!

If you are in OC, you can go to Hoag and buy them from their breastfeeding boutique or I think Gap also now sells them online and Babies R Us carries a pretty good selection now. Much easier than when I had my first!

Bravado were my favorite. I shopped around to find the best prices online, ordered a few and tried them on at home and ended up keeping two (the original and the lifestyle microfiber) and returning the ones I didn't like. I also bought a few cheap ones at Target. Those wore out so fast. The Bravado are more expensive but I've been nursing for 15 months and they are still like new and so comfortable.
