Favorite Maternity Jeans?

Okay, you'd think after 2 pregnancies I would have found it by now, but I haven't! I'm looking for the "perfect" pair of maternity jeans (and other pants while we're at it)!

Just a few notes, I'm 5'2" and short waisted. Non-pregnant, I prefer low-rise jeans (but not show-your-crack low), and pregnant I'm not a fan of huge full-belly panels!

Any thoughts? Any jeans/pants you just love??

What can I do next?

I had a pair of Sevens when I was pregnant. They were maternity, and had an under the belly band. They were pricey, but so worth it. They never fell down and didn't really loose their shape while wearing them. You have to go to boutique type maternity shops to get them. Maybe pea in the pod or mimi maternity. I got mine at a small shop in South Carolina, but I think stores like that would carry them.

Just an idea, there are several companies online that sell maternity waist extenders for regular jeans. Babush baby???? Maybe? Cant remember but they cover all the rough edges and look pretty discreet.
http://babooshbaby.com/ They are called B-Buckles, this is also the website you can find the "taut" wrap for after delivery
The other is Bella Band

Hi H.,
I went through the same think when I was pregnant with #3. This is what I did, I bought cute black cotton stretch pants from Target. They're not maternity, they are just in the regular clothes section. They always have them and usually in different colors. They are flare (so it doesn't look like you are wearing sweats or p.j.'s), and go with any basic maternity shirts. I wore them the whole time I was pregnant, so it's kind of like the cute athletic look. Then, if I had somewhere to go other than preschool or the grocery store where I didn't want to look too casual, I put on the dreaded uncomfortable maternity jeans that never stay up. With the stretchy pants, it was nice to know I actually wasn't wearing maternity pants, and they are perfect too for the few weeks after you have the baby when you are not ready for regular clothes. Another plus is they usually have them in capri style for warmer weather too. I realized the more comfortable you are, the better you feel and look. Good luck!

When I was pregnant I searched for a pair of the perfect maternity jeans and found them at Mimi Maternity. They are called Buffolo Exchange (pretty sure thats the name of them) and I loved them. They are a little on the pricey side but worth ever penny of it. I wore them all the time and now wish I could find the same style in non maternity pants. Hope that helps!!!

H.,

I have a freind who has a maternity store on-line.

www.HSTMaternity.com

Her store has been featured many times in Tampa,Fl on the local news channels and such. She is someone who had the opposite trouble finding pants during her pregnancies (long legs and short waisted)so she went searching and found a great maternity designer. Give her a try.
