Fathers Day Ideas
I'm in the need for some great father's day gift ideas. We just had our first baby boy 2 weeks ago so this is new to me! I also just used up all my creativity since daddy's birthday was just a month ago.

For my husband's first Father's Day, I made him a book. I bought a blank hardcover book from the learning store and made up a poem about what a great father he is. I included lines about what he liked to do with our son and printed pictures and pasted them to the pages. I know you can make books through many of the photo websites like Snapfish, Flicker, etc. but I found this to be much more personal. His book started with this sentence, "My daddy is my hero(one page with daddy and son), he always makes me laugh(picture of son laughing), I love it when he reads to me(picture of them reading together) and holds me in his lap(another picture of daddy and son)."
One year we made him a t-shirt that said, "Daddy's Little All star" and had my son's hand prints painted on a basketball.
Last year we made daddy a stepping stone with the kids hand prints from a kit we bought at Michael's. It was a little harder to get the younger one's hand print, but if you were to do something like this, do it when the baby is sleeping.
This year my husband actually asked for something and that was to get our tv fixed. I think we will still make him something, it makes it just a little bit more special.
Have fun and congratulations on your new arrival!

If your husband wears a tie go to picture people or zazzle.com and you can make a picture tie of your little one. My husband loved his and still wears them often. My FIL wanted one as soon as he saw it so we got him one too. My dad doesnt wear ties but he does wear a bolo tie so i made him one too. They all love them. Another thing I did was asked him to paint his hand on a nice piece of paper saying it was for the babies scrap book. Then in a different color when he wasnt home I painted the babies foot over the hand print and wrote a poem about daddy helping him grow.
You can get even more ideas if you google fathers day crafts or gift ideas.

Here's a gift idea.... Give him a coupon book. What your husband will need most over the years from you is the knowledge that he still holds a special place in your life. The coupon book needs to be filled with coupons that he can redeem for special time with you. Think of all the places that you like to go together, activities you both like to do and then provide a coupon for each. Then your gift will be to find the babysitter and the where with all to make it happen for him. Trust me this is a very special Fathers Day gift. All Fathers need to know that they are still our Man!

How about one of those digital picture frames for his desk with different pictures of you and the baby?

A great (and cheap) and fun gift we make each year is a stepping stone with the kids' hand/foot prints on it and the year. You can get them at Michael's. The kit costs about $10-12 and you can use the same mold each year. We use them in the garden (you can put them anywhere outside really) and they look so cute. My husband really likes receiving them.

Hi! Congrats to you both! I used to fill something that my husband liked with stuff that he liked...i.e. I would find a sports can and fill it with tennis stuff and favorite toiletries. BUT this year they came out with DadGear...it's a mans diaper bag...Ok, so, well, a diaper bag for dad's day...It could be worse!? I thought that it was a cute idea. It looks like a cammo bag. You could always fill it with stuff that he likes. Like his favorite sweets (No, you cannot fit into the bag). A favorite magazine subscription, an extra shirt that he might need after the baby spits up on him.lol Fun things that he might enjoy. Good luck

What about a photo collage of your new baby boy with some pictures of your husband as a child. We do this every 2-3 years for my husband and he appreciates it more than any gift you can buy in the store.
