Father's Day Gift
I know a lot of you have asked for Father's day ideas. Our request is a little different. My daughter's God Father is becoming a Daddy to his 1st child this year and we would like to get something special for him, he has been a really good God Father to our daughter and would like something meaningful but not corny!!!! I can't even remember what I got my husband for our first child! So I need fresh and new ideas. Thanks!

I love the Willow Tree statues. They have a lot of different styles. One with dad and baby or mom, dad and baby. You can find them online or at stores like Hallmark.

Go to Barnes and Noble and check out their Father's Day display. When my husband became a daddy someone gave him a copy of "Guess How Much I Love You" by Sam McBratney. It is about a papa bunny and a baby bunny at bedtime. They keep trying to outdo one another on how much they love each other. The last page made me cry! It is a great bedtime book, and it's a great daddy/baby book. My husband just loves to read to my daughter at bedtime, so every year for Father's day I get him a new book that is daddy-themed and it's their special book to read together.
Good luck, and let us know what you decide on.

the best present that i have ever received was a letter from my husband's grandparents telling me what i mean to them, and how i've blessed their lives. give him a letter. nothing's more meaningful to a person than to know that you've touched someone's life and helped make it better.

Books to read to his baby. It's never too early to start. I like the cardboard book 'Barney Backhoe Loves to Build', or 'Baby's First Things That Go'.

Hi S.,
If you have photos of your daughter with her God Father...How about making him a photo collage? I did this for my daughters father several years ago, using pictures of her from birth to what her current age was at the time (she is 17 yrs old now!). He LOVED/LOVES it! We did a rather large one and had a frame made for it (Michaels or Hobby Lobby). Whatever you decide, I'm sure it will mean a lot to him!

I really like the books about Daddy and Baby/child. I buy one each fathers day for my 3 year old to give his daddy and those are their special books to read together. You could get him one of those digital photo frames that he can take to work and have photos of his new baby in them...You can start with a photo of him and your daughter, maybe an ultra sound photo, etc. Good Luck!

Hi S.,
What my mother inlaw did for my husband and her son inlaw was made garden stones. They have little craft kits you can buy at michael's and then she put the kids foot prints in them with there name the year and "My First Daddy's Day". That might be a good gift. Good luck.
