M.,
I was just readin the responses from other mamas. I am recommending Los Poblanos as well. There is a pick up location in Rio Rancho; Evergreen Herbal market behind (Burger King and Hot Tamales on 528). You can chose to have a box delivered each week or every other week. The cost is around $27 a box.
You get a great variety! good luck.

I just started getting boxes of organic veggies from Los Poblanos Organic farm, located in the North Valley. They have lots of pickup points, as well as the option for delivery to your home. (Not sure if they deliver in Rio Rancho, though.) Everything we've gotten so far has been incredibly fresh and delicious, not to mention locally grown! They have tons of information about how it works on the site, so check it out at http://www.lospoblanosorganics.com.

Hi M.,
I haven't been yet, but in Corrales, they have the Grower's Market where local farmers sell on weekends on Corrales road. Wagner Farms is also in Corrales. I used to do Los Poblanos--a pretty good deal, but usually shop Sunflower.

I also live in Rio Rancho and don't think there is a farmer's market here...unless there is one in Corrales?

I do 95% of my shopping at Sunflower Market at Coors and Alameda.

I also want to know where some farmer's markets are???

The closest thing you will get to a Farmers Market (assuming you mean the actual store, not seasonal events) or a Whole Foods would be Sunflower Market which is located at Alameda and Corrales Road. It is smaller than a Whole Foods, yet has the vitamins, meats etc that they would have. They have organic produce, supplements and a pretty decent selection of natural foods. They are more affordable than a Whole Foods too for the most part. I have noticed that their produce seems to turn quickly though, so don't stock up with too much at one time!

Good Luck!

M.
