Farmer's Market in Peters Township Area?
Hello-
Wondering where and when are the farmer's markets in and around the Peter's Township area (Canonsburg, Washington, Upper St. Clair and Bridgeville). Any info is appreciated.
Thanks much.

The Post Gazette put out a comprehensive list of all the local farmer's markets back in May. Here's a link to the list.

You also have Simmons and Trax Farms locally.

Hi - there are two very close to you. Trax Farms in Finleyville (http://www.traxfarms.com) and Simmons Farm (http://www.simmonsfarm.com) in McMurray.

Bethel Park has one on certain days of the week. Call the municipal building for more info. There is also Trax Farm on Route 88 in Library or Finleyville. How about Portmans Farm on Washington Pike near the Bridgeville/South Fayette border? I think Bedner's has one - maybe on McLaughlin Run Road.

There is an excellent farmer's market every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:30 pm until about 9:00 in Cecil, just a couple of miles from Bridgeville. It's right off Route 51. There's a good mix of local produce from Simmons farm and other local growers, as well as homemade jelly, fudge, baked goods, herbs, floral perennials, and "carnival" food. It's big enough for there to be a little competition price-wise and I find that even Simmons sells things for less when they are there.

Hi R.,
I know there is a Farmer's Market in Bethel at the old schoolhouse. Also, there's one at South Park Fairgrounds weekly as well.

I heard on the radio this morning that there's one in Mt. Lebonan. Can't recall the details. Sorry.
