Hey ladies! We are looking to go away for Christmas this year, but have no clue where to start. This has been an incredibly stressful year, so we just want to go away and relax!!!! It will be my parents, my hubby, our 2 boys, 4 & 2, and myself. I will add that I will be about 4-5 months preggers!

Here's what we are looking for:

1. The beach!!!
2. Kid friendly
3. Golf
4. Potentially snorkling
5. Fishing

I have only been to Hawaii once and really have no idea where to start. We would like to not spend a fortune. We have heard that the keys are good to. Do you ladies have any suggestions? Really appreciate it!

K.

It doesn't have a beach, but Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO is really nice at Christmas time.

I used Vacation Rentals By Owner (www.VRBO.com) one time to find a condo for a family Christmas vacation.

We did Disney World this past Christmas. Disney has a cruise line...you may want to look into that.

The Keys are really not very "kid-friendly" that is really much more of an adult place, and honestly the beaches are more for boating then just hanging out and relaxing.

I agree with another poster, Disney World (tons of pools about 1/2 from the beach) and AMAZING at Christmas time! The Osbourne festival of lights is awesome!

Or I'm sure a Disney cruise would be awesome for the whole family, I haven't been on one but I know babies to grandparents have a great time!

If you are going to Hawaii, go to Kauai. Kid-friendly beaches abound, especially Poipu and Lydgate.

We are going back to San Diego. We will do the Zoo and Sea World for the kids and then the beach for us. You can snorkel in La Jolla. Everyone wins!

Disney World is my vote. You can go all day or relax all day. Plus California in the winter can be cool and not very beach friendly. Florida is warm and I found a GREAT condo in Kissemee (just outside Disney) on VRBO for way cheap. It was three bedrooms w/a pool for like $100 a night (off season). You'll have a great time.
