I have a friend that is getting married in Nov. They are looking for fabric. Lots of it, white, cheap as possible. Do any of you know where they might be able to rent it, or purchase it in bulk. They are also looking for white Christmas lights. I know that if any one would know you wonderful ladies would. Thanks for all your help.
Yes you need to go to the fabric factories, open to the public in Dallas. 75 s, west on 635, left on I30, Get off Walnut hill, right on harry hines (all the factories are on perth st) right. There are about 5-7 factories/stores - you can have fun shopping all day. I think there is also a larger one a mile or two down on harry hines on right - you'll see it.
Try the fabric yard and cutting corners in Carrollton. There are several more discount fabric stores on that same strip. I found my Waverly Toile for $8 a yard versus the $45 at JoAnns.
You might try The Linen House. Do a google search
try www.freecycle.com or www.freecycle.org to make your request. never know!:)
There is a Christmas Outlet opened year around that just opened recently in Arlington (Cooper st area). I bet they would have Christmas lights already if Hobby Lobby and them don't yet.

You can check at Hancock Fabrics to see what they have. They have a bargain table with $3/yard fabric. Also JoAnn Fabrics has a big sale this weekend and they have 40% off coupons that you can print off the Internet. I don't know how much yardage you need, but this is how I would handle it, if I needed a large quantity of fabric. I assume this is for table covers and decorating.
Hobby Lobby has all their Christmas lights out now, so I know you can find white ones there.

For my sister's wedding shower, I bought a BUNCH of plain white muslin at Joann to use for tablecloths and decorations. White muslin starts off pretty cheap--I got the double-wide, 72 inch across kind. Then, get one of their 40% off one item coupons, which says "a single cut of by-the-yard merchandise equals one item." Then walk up with your coupon with a straight face and say, "I'd like 50 yards of this, please," which, according to their coupon, counts as one item. Then, obviously, you'll need to cut it yourself into smaller pieces when you get it home. GL!
