My eyes were blue, up until I was about 7. One morning, I was brushing my teeth, and my mom came into the bathroom. She looked at my reflection in the mirror and was shocked that my eyes were GREEN overnight! Now, my eyes go back and forth depending on what I wear.

My kids are 6, 4 and 2 and were all born with blue eyes....we now have a light golden brown eyed boy (just like daddy, the color of honey) and 2 kids with my weird eyes... small circle of brown around the center w/green around the edges.

My husband and I still don't agree on our 2-year-old's eye color, and it could still be changing. My almost 4-year-old had dark brown eyes within a month or two, but my younger one's kept changing. My husband thinks they're gray, I think they're gray/green/blue. Who knows? :)

Had one child with crystal blue eyes until she was 4 and then they turned hazel. Strange.

You baby was most likely born with navy blue or dark brown eyes. Over the next 6 months her eye color will gradually change. Don't count on it being the permanent eye color though. Sometimes the eye color will change again in their teens. Mine did. I had soft brown eyes until about 14. They are now an army green color. My brother had blue eyes until about 16 and he now has green eyes.
By the way, hair color can change too. My oldest was born with almost black hair. It all fell out an came in blond. His hair now at 10 is a dark blond.

Oldest 2 had brown from the get-go.
The youngest had blue eyes, which went grey then blue then grey then hazel ... the seem to be a hazely-grey-blue but I don't think they've completely settled. He's 7.
So, dark colors tend to settle quickly. Lighter colors, maybe not so much.

Both our kids were born with blue. They are 12 and 9 and both are still blue. Although, when my son wears a certain shade of green, I sometimes see green flecks. My eyes are blue (2 genes for blue, as mom had blue and dad had brown: from a blue and brown eyed parentage) like both my siblings. My husband's eyes are green. His mom's are brown and I'm not sure about his dad's.
I actually was kinda hoping that our son would have green like his Dad... but, he's 12 and I doubt they're going to change. lol. Beautiful blue, though :)
