I am looking for some websites or any info that I can to help me get rid of weight. We are talking like 90 lbs. or so. I am not looking for anything that I have to join, like a gym or jenny craig or any "fad" diets. I am looking for something that I can do for the rest of my life. I have been walking and using an excersice ball but seem to be having a problem with diet. I am starting to reduce calories but I am looking for actual meal plans, something that will work for my whole family that includes kids. anything at this point would be helpful, thanks ladies :)

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Well I was doing fine on watching what I ate and walking my daughter to school and taking the REALLY long way home, then I ran. I ran one day and the next day my knees REALLY hurt so i stopped and for the last week the pain has been horrid. I went to the Dr. and she had me get xrays so the verdict is still out on what I did to them but im bummed because I cant do anything, so excercise has been put off.

If you are a Christian, you will enjoy the 3D diet. Go to www.3dyourwholelife.com. You can join the online group or just take advantage of all the info on the website. I learned a lot about myself.

Forget desperation diets and intense daily fitness regimes. If you want long-term-for-the-rest-of your-life change, you have to start simple. This takes time (like 2 years) but it will be forever!! Remember slow and easy wins the race- Don't go a yo-yo.

First, make a list of what you eat and drink (especially the bad) and what your activity is(or lack of). Take a hard look and be very honest. Next, list what the healthy, fit person you want to be eats and the activities they do.You know, 3 servings of dairy, lots of water, half your body weight in protein, every color in fruits and veggies a day, limit sugar and salt and processed foods, yada yada. Excersise 30 min of cardio 5x a week and lift weights 3x a week.
The key is to change nothing but one thing at a time once a month. simply, drink 3-4 liters of water every day, the first month- next month, add 15 min of bicycling a 3-4 times a week, then add a veg or 2 every day, You get the idea. You know what to do, just don't do it all at one time. This method will reset what feels natural and you will have sucess- I promise. As you change your habits you won't feel deprived or cheat all the time. It feels good. Buy nothing special, just be sensical and set simple goals. You can do it. I did. I am 140lbs of fit and healthy now and just passed my 10 yr fat girl anniversary. Good Luck!

I am doing weight watchers...well I am eating Smart Ones and slim fast and fruits and veggies. I run around after a toddler all day so that is my exercise. But, I am also doing these wraps at Maui Tan. It is amazing. You lay there for 1 hour and you burn ###-###-#### calories. The first time I did it I lost 1/2 of a pound. I am going back to do it again this week. The lady I talked to there said you can do it 3 times per week (with a break in between sessions) if you are not exercising. You lay there and watch friends! Body-for-Life is AWESOME! I found it about 10 years ago and found it very inspiring...and easy! We live this way now - eating 6 small meals a day with 1 cheat day a week and excersing 30 minutes a day! They push weight lifting and protein supplements but you can modify their routine to fit your needs. It's all about the food! You can exercise all you want, but if the food is not right, the excercise is worthless.

the website on curves.com has curves complete and that is a run down of daily foods and menu items. I agree though, Weight Watchers is the best there is. You can be so successful on WW on your own if you are accountable.
If you go in to one of those facilities and buy a book for about $10 It has your point value on every type of food you would eat. Then spend about 25 pts a day with light excersise and you will do great. Fruits and veggies are 5 servings a day, 7 glasses of water a day and 1 serving of milk. All that is included in your points of 25 daily.
It will be really simple, but you should buy their book. Or some websites are www.healthdiscovery.net/restaurants
orwww.dwlz.com/restaurants are two websites that will give you WW point values for eating out in restaurants. Good luck.
