I agree that jumping rope or jumping jacks are great. Also try the spark people videos free on youtube. They have several 10 minute or so cardio workouts. Search sparkpeople on youtube. I love the Day 1 swimsuit bootcamp. GL, J.

Do you have an exercise or stability ball?
Do plank position with your feet/ankles resting on the ball, your hands supporting your upper body off the floor. Pull into a pike position (with your butt in the air) and slowly lower. Then do a push-up. Do sets of 8 or 10.
Works everything "plank" does, focuses in on your abs and back, and you get chest and bi/tri's with the pushup at the end.
After 5 minutes of that, you have 5 more minutes for whatever else you come up with. :)

Jump roping
10 min. of continuous jumping rope can burn as many calories as jogging for 30 min.
You could also do something like this
jumping jacks - 1 min.
squats - 1 min.
push-ups - 1 min.
run in place - 1 min.
crunches - 1 min.
squat thrusts - 1 min.
sprint back and forth - 1 min.
jump rope - 1 min.
plank hold - 1min.
run up and down stairs - 1 min.
There's a great 10 min. workout that burns a lot of calories and works several different muscle groups. Have fun!

It is amazing what can be done in 10 minutes to target certain areas...and then fit in walking briskly throughout the day to get your heart rate up...walk fast into the store(park towards the back of the lot) or the same concept if you are parking at work. When you are out and about then pick up the pace...every step counts.
Do squats , granny pushups,an abdominal work out and lunges a little each day or more if you want... alternate these activities but try targeting different areas on different days. Make up a little schedule so you keep track.
Everyday I do a 7-9 minute FIRM ab workout and then run 3 times a week and do FIRM toning videos two days.
Good luck and best wishes at making the daily 10 minutes effective!!

Jump rope. You burn a lot of calories in a short time. Also works muscles throughout your legs. I find it is extremely difficult to jump rope for that long, and I am in decent shape. So work your way up to it if you need to.
