Evenflo Triumph

Hi All! My son is 9 months old and grown out of his infant car seat. We had an Evenflo (older model - not sure of the name) with my other children for the convertible phase (facing backwards for awhile, then forward facing) and I loved it, however the model isn't made anymore. I've looked at all sorts of different car seats, but am still leaning towards the Evenflo because of my past experience. Does anyone have this particular car seat in a Honda Odyssey (we would be putting it in one of the bucket seats in the middle row), and if so, how do you like it? This car seat would preferrably last until my son can go into a booster around age 4. Thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

From what I've read the Evenflo Triumph is a great choice. Another good choice is the First Years' True Fit, which would probably last you longer since it has a higher shell. I don't think you can go wrong with either one. As another commenter wrote, check out the car seat safety board. It's a great resource!

The new model is Evenflo Triumph Advance. (http://tinyurl.com/eftadvance)

It has excellent reviews on www.car-seat.org. This website is a wonderful resource for all your car seat questions from safety to style to installation. It is full of certified car seat techs, as well as other knowledgeable mamas. If you want to know more about any particular seat, just enter the name in the search engine. You will get a ton of threads with all sorts of information about that model.

Best of luck,

I have this carseat for both my kids and I love it! It is so easy to get them in and out of, even with coats on. Either kid can go in either seat and it is easy to adjust. The only problem I have had with it is the straps do tend to get twisted. This is not a big deal for me, it just takes a second to untwist them. I have a Hyundai minivan and it fits great in it. I would recommend it to anyone.

You could try the Evenflo Titan, they sell it at Target, it's supposed to last up to 50 lbs, and got really good reviews from Baby Bargains (though if your son is on the tall end, he might outgrow it height-wise). Or, if you have a little more cash, Britax is doing their once-a-year sale, so you can get the Marathon for just over $200 at Amazon or Diapers.com (with free delivery).
