Hi everyone,
I currently use a Maya Wrap and I really like it, however my son is getting heavier and I've found my sling to be uncomfortable for back carry. I am traveling to South America with my husband and son and want to be able to use a carrier. I'd like to get an Ergo carrier, but would like maybe a used one, or a less expensive one? There are never any on Craigslist.Does anyone know where I can get one for less than $100?

What can I do next?

Yay! Another babywearing mama! Woo!
Go to www.thebabywearer.com - create an account and go on their FSOT (for sale or trade) forum. Lots of mamas sell their used carriers on there for discount prices!
Good luck in your hunt!

I cannot tell you how much we love this carrier - I was never a big "carrier" mom and my child didn't love it either. I got this carrier when my daughter was approx. 18 months old for traveling in aiports as we travel a lot. We both love it and she always wants to ride "piggyback". I use it everywhere and find it so much more convenient and enjoyable than a stroller. Even if youd don't find one cheaper, consider splurging on this item - my daughter is 27 months and I used it today with no plans to stop anytime soon - you will get your money out of this one. Good luck

We just got back from a 3.5 month trip in Europe with out daughter who is currently 20 months old. We have another carrier that is almost the same as the ergo called the Patapum. It is cheaper at about $70-80 new. We got ours at foxdenlane.com. I loved it and it was a lifesaver while traveling. There are so many places that strollers are not convenient yet these toddlers are not able to walk on their own yet.
