I just read what Similac Sensitive is and as far as Enfamil goes I think that Enfamil Gentlease seems about the same. Hope this helps!

WIC offers enfamil that also has a sensitive one - i dont remember how it is called but the color is purple in liquid can. when you meet with WIC reprentative tell her what the pediatrician has said and she will write it in your WIC checks so that you can purchase the right one for your baby.

I was able to find this link. I'm not sure what state you are from, but WIC does cover special formulas. You just have submit a doctors note. Here's the link I found. There should be one for your state. http://www.mass.gov/?pageID=eohhs2terminal&L=5&L0....
Good luck!

Is it that WIC doesnt cover that type of Similac, or they dont have Similac at all.
Tell your friend to find out which it is. I know some WIC's alternate, 3 months of Similac, and 3 months of Enfamil. Its an administrative decision. But your friend DOES NOT have the sign up for WIC in her county. She can go to any WIC office as along as she is willing to travel there. Tell her to call around and do her research. and she might be able to get the formula for her baby.

OK first issue, WIC goes by state. Depending on where you live, each state has a different contract. A state contracts for a particular formula. You did not put where you live, so it is dificult to say, but your pediatrician should be able to tell you what formula has the WIC contract in your state. Second, Similac Sensitive is available on some state WIC contracts as an exemption. if your dr has put the baby on this formula for a reason and has it documented, the state WIC agency may cover it. It all depends on the documentation. I would start by asking your pediatric office for help. No you don't have to sign up for WIC but if you qualify, it is free, so why wouldn't you? You must use the WIC formula in the state in which you live. You cannot go to another state and get their formula! You can always choose to Breast feed.
