Episiotomy
Sorry this is personal, but I'm kind of freaking out. I had my daughter 17 days ago. I was fine, then started hurting whenever I sat down - a shooting pain. I have some sort of sore beside the place where pee comes out. (I don't know the proper term.) It's painful and feels kind-of like a water balloon consistency. I finally called the doctor, but by the time they returned my call, it stopped hurting. I was pain-free for 2 days, but it came back today. I don't want to go to the doctor for something stupid, but I'm worried it's something bad. Anyone know anything about this?

I would call your ob/gyn asap. The more you let it go the worse it could get! Why stay in pain when you could feel better.

My sister had a similar problem. It turned out to be a cyst and she had to have it removed. You should see your doctor. There are no stupid questions when it comes to your health!!

I think your doctor will be mad if you DON'T call them even over the weekend.
I had a 4th degree tear and it did not start hurting until about 3-4 weeks afterward. But it was a general ache/soreness, not sharp shooting pain. My OB worked me in right away and said that the achiness was likely due to the stitches starting to work their way out and rubbing against the area. She also put me on antibiotics in case there was infection starting.
She said I needed to really stay off my feet as much as possible and keep the area really clean (use the peri bottle to rinse off after using the bathroom and take sitz baths 3 times a day).
Also, take your temperature regularly to make sure you don't have a fever which would indicate an infection.
Remember to think of your recovery from the episiotomy as though you're recovering from surgery.
I really hope you feel better soon!

This sounds like you may have a small tear from where your stitches were. This happened to me as well as my best friend. It does hurt like crazy but when I went to the dr. I was given some lidocaine cream to put on there and I took a couple of sitz bath to also relieve the burning feeling. I would go and get it checked out just to be sure although you did stop hurting. Good Luck. Hope this helps.

This doesn't sound like something stupid to me. It may be minor, but not stupid. It may be nothing, but not stupid. It may be something else, but not stupid. I'd go ahead and call the doc. Remember, it's their job, and they deal with all kinds of things all of the time. Their experience likely makes them a better judge of what's going on than you or I.

sounds like a hemmoroid. I don't know much about them, but see if that could be it.

Not sure, but you should get it checked out. THe last thing you want is an infection in this area! They won't think you're stupid, that's what they are there for. If they treat you like you're stupid, then it's time to find a new doctor, bottom line! GOod luck!
