E.n.t. - Olathe,KS

I have been getting 6month ultrasounds and even this time a very lovely biopsy of my three thyroid nodules- Good Times, but I just don't have confidence in the ENT I am going to. I would like to find a very knowledgeable ENT doctor in the Olathe area who will better explain, not downplay my concerns as well as be able to confidently give me their opinions regarding my issues. If any of you ladies are going through this or have done so in the past, anything you may like to add is highly invited too! I am starting to figure out this is a lot more common than expected! My two are less than one cm and the other is over but they are not sure it is even a nodule! I am age 35.

As always, thanks so much for any help!

What can I do next?

Hi K.,

I have a 5 mm nodule on my thyroid and we are going to watch it every 6 months, not big enough to do a biopsy yet. It is very common and most are not cancerous. Have you ever had your thyroid levels checked? I just recently found out I had Hasimoto's disease with causes nodules.

Let's just say with all the issues in my families ears, noses, and throats we have spent a good amout of time with our E.N.T. Dr. Ellis ###-###-####. He is in a building attached to OP Regional. He is a no fluff kinda guy... he does what needs to be done, he will find out what is wrong and will fix it. Plan and simple. I can not stand "placating" dr.s so his honestly is greatly appreciated with me. I highly recomend him (as do a lot of my friends in the medical field) :)

I have been seeing an endocrinologist for the past 10+ years because my thyroid nodules have caused my thyroid to be slightly over-active (hyper-thyroidism). They do periodical ultrasounds and have done a couple of thyroid-uptake tests, as well as regular blood work for thyroid levels. I wouldn't worry but about them if I were you but do keep an eye on them.
