I waws out at primed this weekend after fighting now 4 ear infections in my little boy since august( He is 14 months old). That doctor has told me I need to get him into an ENT. I was wondering if any of yall had been to any ENT's in this area... By the way it has to be a Tricare approved DR. I just wanted to know what yall knew about some of the Doctor in the montgomery area. Good things who was really good.

What can I do next?

I know the practice with Dr.Neil Stronach is very good. My family has used him and the other doctors in that practice for years

Dear J.,
Unfortunately, I do not know anything about any of the ENT's in this area, but my oldest son suffered ear infection after ear infection as an infant (we were stationed in DC at the time). After several miserable years, the doctors finally said he should have his tonsils and adnoids removed. He has not had an ear infection since. It's been 9 years. I just thought I would share this, because back then, I was a new mom and I didn't know anything about it.
I wish you much luck!
E.

We use Dr. Evans with Montgomery Otolarangolgy group. They do take Tri-care,but it was only one type. You can call and find out ###-###-####

Dr. Love is another one and I hear he is good with peds as well, but I do not know which insurance he takes.

Also, do you not have a regular pediatrician? We use Dr. Gillis Payne and he does take tricare. My boys love going to him.

Hope, this helps.

My son has had two sets of tubes..and we used Dr. Craig Chapman with ENT Associates of Alabama - there are two other doctors in the group, George Kitchens and Noble Anderson. There phone number is ###-###-####. I have seen both Dr. Chapman and Dr. Anderson and have been very pleased. Dr. Chapman did both sets of tubes and since the second set we have had very few ear infections and such. I hope this helps with your situation. I know how frustrating it can be and my pediatrician did not refer me, I called and spoke with a nurse about the number of ear infections my son had and what their recommendations were.

Good Luck!

My son is 2 and 1/2 and has had 2 ear tube surgeries and they were done by Dr. Borg at Montgomery Otolaryngology. Recently another doc in that group performed surgery on my husband and I like him even better. His name is Dr. Bowman and he has a 2-year-old son - just seemed that he would have more empathy. Not sure if they take Tricare... probably do though. Oh - the ENT my pediatrician originally referred me to was Dr. Love as he must have a good reputation for pediatric ENT, but he didn't take my insurance so the that's when my pediatrician said to go to Dr. Borg.
Good luck - I know that is a miserable situation. The surgery is a breeze though and doesn't even take 5 minutes. We did the first one at 4 months and the second one at 2.
