End of School Year Teacher Appreciation Gift Idea

The end of the school year is coming up really quickly. I want to get gifts for the teachers from my kids. My second graders teacher is a first year teacher who has done a wonderful job. My pre-schoolers teacher is the biggest sweetheart. I am looking for a unique idea. I'd like to stay away from picture frames. Any neat ideas? School lets out on the 15th so I have to act pretty quickly. i'd appreciate any ideas you can provide.

What can I do next?

Give the teacher a book, either for her/himself or for the classroom. If you are getting a book for the teacher, I suggest "The Art of Possibility" by Rosamund Stone Zander and Benjamin Zander. It's a wonderful read that I am certain they will appreciate. You can purchase it at any bookstore or online at http://www.amazon.com/Art-Possibility-Transforming-Profes...

Another thoughtful gift is a toy, book or game for the classroom- something other students can enjoy year after year. We're having a great sale right now on educational items that teachers LOVE (I should know, I was a K-5 teacher for years) You can get those items at www.discoverytoyslink.com/fatimac

And since you're in the LA area, a gift certificate to Lakeshore is also an option. Lakeshore is in Carson and their number is ###-###-####

In my daughter's preschool we collected between $5-$10 from ea. parent and gave the teacher and her assistant a gift certificate to the Cheesecake Factory. They received a gc for about $65 each. I would suggest candles since I do PartyLite but there is not enough time since school is out by the 15th. Hope this idea works for you.

Hello my name is T. Fruth,

I am going to share this idea with you but please don’t hear it as a sales pitch. It really is a very well received gift. I just moved to LA from Texas and this is just about what all teachers get for Christmas and end of year from parents down there now days.

We put together a basket of spa products for them to pamper themselves since it is end of year. Arbonne is the Hottest items around because they are all pure and beneficial so the really covet getting these items.

Here is an example of a basket....Candle, Essential Oil Sea Salt Scrub, a botanical bath salt, or you can add a shower gel and body lotion from our aromatherapy line. We also have a cute hand and foot cream basket with coffee in a coffee cup. All of these can have fun items like a shower scrubby and foot scrubber added.

I of course sell Arbonne and that is why I did not want you to see this as a sells push. I just wanted you to know these really are a hit and I would love to help. It is going to be a big hot item here very soon so you would be one of the first to give it which is very cool as well.

Hope this helps. If you choose to go this direction I will give you a 50% discount on all items and I will even put the baskets together for you for FREE if you like.

Good luck, be blessed and have a wonderful Sunday, T.

M.,

It is so nice of you to want to do something special for your children's teachers. As a teaching veteran of 12 years, I can honestly say how much a hand written note from parents means. There are so many times, when you feel you have gone above and beyond and that never gets recognized. I can also say that if you still want to buy something for them, as impersonal as it may seem... go with the gift certificate. Every teacher under the sun has their share of gifts that end up in the regift closet or the Good Will pile- no matter how amazing the gifter thinks the gift was. Depending on how much you want to spend- try one from a mall, Target, manicure place...

Good Luck,
K.
