Embarrassing Question - Plainfield,IL

Hello Moms,

I have a HUGE problem. My nipples from nursing are excessivley large. I get so embarrassed because they always look like they're hard. The guys in my office are going nuts but I just feel like climbing under my desk.

I don't like wearing the nursing pads because you can see the circle shape through some of my blouses/shirts.

Any ideas how I can conceal them without doubling up on clothes like adding a sweater?

Also, will they go back to a normal size once I'm done nursing baby #3?

Thanks in advance.

What can I do next?

They won't stay that way forever. I tend to just wear ribbed fitted sweaters in the winter, or sweater sets. Also, anything with a printed design on it should hide things pretty well. It's just when you have solid colors and thin material that it's really obvious.

The Lansinoh nursing pads were great when I was BF-ing/pumping. Even after a pumping session, you couldn't "tell" by looking at my chest what I had just done. They also were very discreet and you couldn't tell that I had them in. I still have them and use them when my shirt is too revealing that way.

Good Luck.

They don't stay like they are now, but from my own experience I feel like they are always on. So I wear a bra that has the foam padding. I don't worry about it at all. My favorite is Victoria's Secret Body by Victoria. It's $38 so a little expensive. Target has foam once not as comfortable but they are okay.

Where a padded bra, this will stop your nipples from showing through.

Have you tried Lily Padz? I thought they worked great and always hid the hard nipples. THey are $20 and last a few months.

My friend was in dance in high school and they always wore bandaids. I have to wear nursing pads my self, but always wear heavier shirts.

I agree, they won't always stay so large, but mine have stayed in the 'on' position ever since, so I wear a slightly padded bra. During nursing I used the Lansinoh pads and the Lily Padz. I know it's difficult, but ignore those jerks in your office! (Their moms probably didn't nurse them long enough!!)

Bali's makes a bra with petal inserts already in them. I found them at Kohls.
