Embarassing Question About Pregnancy and Hemorrhoids!!
Hi Ladies,
I am 8 months pregnant and have a hemorrhoid issue for the first time in my life. I am so uncomfortable. It feels huge and is so sore. I called my OB and he said sitz baths and tucks and that there really isn't anything meds that are safe to use during pregnancy. I was almost in tears today with this, it has been 4 days since it started. Anyone else had this issue and have any advice?
Thanks,
N.

Yeppers. I went and got some tucks. I'm 36 wks. Mine are bleeding. It feels like my vagina is falling out too. The tucks feel good, i'd suggest getting them. I cant take baths anymore, because the last time i barely got out. I was afraid i was gonna have to call the fire department to come hoist me out. Hmmm Maybe i should do that and a hot fireman will fall in love with my hot pregnant body. lol
Oh and a exercise ball feels so good to sit on!

Poor thing, I remember those days.
Just make sure you are taking in plenty of fiber!!! I would take over the counter fiber 2-3 times a day and if i was having a hard time having a bowel movement I would take a stool softener for a few days. And drink plenty of water. Doing those really helped things not get worse.
Dont sit on the toilet for long, pushing and straining makes things worse.
Dont sit or stand for long periods of time either.
hope you feel better soon!

preparation H baby!! I am a little surprise that Ob didnt say to get some. It will help with the pain and ouchies. Witch hazel, or tucks. Be careful with Tucks though. It says PH friendly. THEY LIE!! I had this issue after surgery and I used tucks one day...woke up the next morning thinking my va..j j was going to itch off....I wanted to die..TMI sorry. I used Preparation H through most my pregnancies. So unless some one strongly advises against PrepH. It is your best bet!!

Tucks, witchhazel and stool softeners are your friends... don't be embarrassed, they are super common. I'm sorry for you!!! Usually they go away, but it takes a little while. Be sure to use the stool softeners after the birth too!
Take care :)
