Elmo & Going Bonkers??

Hi, moms!

We are considering having our son's 2nd birthday at "Going Bonkers" in Lewisville. I know they are newly opened (went on Sat and had a blast!!) but does anyone have any experience with them? He'd love for one of his favorite characters to come, either Pablo (Backyardigans--who he loves screaming his name through the house!) or Elmo. Has anyone hired either? Thoughts? Recommendations? Prices?

Thanks so much!

If you don't mind me asking, what's "Going Bonkers"?? Is it a new playland?? Always looking for fun things to do in and around Lewisville. Thanks.

Also as a side note, if you get an Elmo cake for the party...make sure you take LOTS of baby wipes and bibs! We had a "cupcake" cake of Elmo's head (can you imagine all the red icing???)for our 2-year-old's birthday and we had red icing everywhere -- and it stayed on their little faces and hands for quite awhile. But the pictures were totally worth it! :)

For those that don't know - Going Bonkers is an indoor playground of crawl spaces and slides. www.goingbonkers.com.

We have gone to Going Bonkers 2x since they opened and considered having my 4 yr. old b-day party there. My only concern was trying to get the kids down to the party room at the appointed time. The employees just said they make an announcement, but I am pretty sure the 3 & 4 yr. olds won't listen to an announcements.

If all the kids in your party are 3 and under they can stay in the limited play area just for them and you should be fine in herding them to the party room. Or you could do the party room first and then let the parents keep track of their own kids after that in getting them down. Or if the kids' parents can crawl with them and get them down, then no problem.

We are going to a party there in 2 weeks and I'll be able to give you more advice then.

Although we have not had a birthday party there, we too LOVED "Going Bonkers". We talked about b-day parties there, and although their prices seemed reasonable, we thought we could even cut cost more by just paying for the kids entrance and just setting up for a cake in the cafe area. Or even doing part of the party at home. But, there is something so nice about having everything taken care of. so it might be worth the price!! Have fun, I would love to hear how it goes if youdo have his party there. But, for anyone else who is looking for something fun, and relatively inexpensive, head to "Going Bonkers"!!!
