Elementary Schools in the Valley Ranch Area (Coppell ISD or CFBISD)?

I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter, and we are looking to buy a house in the Valley Ranch area. Can anyone give me any ideas about the elementary schools? I know that there are two school districts (Coppell ISD and Carrolton-FB ISD), but does it make a big difference which school I send my daughter to? From what I've been able to see online, it looks like Valley Ranch Elem., Las Colinas Elem., and Freeman Elem. have the best ratings, but what about Landry or La Villita?

What can I do next?

I always heard that the Coppell School District was one of the best, it's the reason my parents bought a home there 16 years ago and both my sisters and I went through the school district. The academics are good and extremely competetive, but the students can be stuck up and many of them place a lot of importance on material things. Valley Ranch according to the districting last time I checked is the only CISD school in the Valley Ranch area, but I've heard good things about the elementary school. I don't know the distance to other high schools in the area but I know that there is a bit of distance to the middle and high schools...course that's a ways off for your kids. Hope this helps! Good luck researching!!:)

I recommend the Coppell ISD. Coppell is known for its schools. Better schools for your child, and better resale when that time comes. We have lived in the Coppell ISD for 11 years. I currently have kiddos in their elementary and middle schools.

My daughter has been at Valley Ranch Elem. for 2 years and we have been extremely pleased. I don't have any experience with the other schools, but VRE has been great for her as the teachers have gone out of their way to help her be as successful as possible. Good luck with your decision!

My family moved to that area when I was in high school and I suggest the buying in the Coppell school district. I did not attend grade school there but can tell you that Coppell schools have better ratings for a reason. Your child will be better prepared for the grades to come if she starts in a coppell school and continues there or any other school district than if starting in a lower rated district.

Coppell ISD, hands-down! Coppell is known for it's exemplary school district, and I believe is in the top 3 districts in all of the metroplex. I am an agent with Keller Williams - feel free to shoot me an email if you have any other questions. Good luck with your search!
