Eczema Treatment

My pedi recommended Eucerin for my daughter. They are the same people that make Aquafor although I never tried that one. Eucerin is so creamy and great. I use the cooling cream and it seems to be the only things that has worked for her.

use a non soap, soap like sensitive dove and then use triple cream severe dry skin/ eczema care (not triple paste, the diaper paste) when out of the shower or bath and as needed thru the day. It has bees wax in it to help hold in the moisture and let it heal. It also has oats in it for anyone who can not have oats.
Walmart and Target carry it now in the baby sections, although Target has the bigger tube, at least for my area.

AVENO!! Soak in an Aveno oatmeal bath. They sell the packets at Wal-Mart. Then use the Aveno oatmeal cream all over the body as well as the eyelid.

For my daughter's eczema, I used Lac Hydrin 5. You can get it at Wal-Greens.

it's an alpha hydroxy lotion. i wouldn't use it around the eyes tho.

My son had it very bad for a while when he was a baby. He even scratched himself so hard during the night that it got infected. What worked for us is during a flare up, I would layer (per our pediatrician) .5% hydrocortisone cream, then Mimyx (a prescription moisturizer) and then aquaphor, which is basically something like Vaseline. We would do this twice a day for a week and it always cleared up the bad patches. You just can't use a steriod like hydrocortisone for more than a week or so at a time.

Now that he is older (2yrs old) and his flareups are not as bad, we use Cetaphil rather than the prescription moisturizer. I find that if I lather him up with this twice a day, he is usually fine. We use the one in the tub, not the cream in a tube.

I don't have a professional 'cure' but I do have some great testimonies and pictures of people that have found relief through Arbonne Baby Care products, rejuvenating cream and skin conditioning oil. Truly amazing the differences. My niece had horrible spots from birth to 6 months when my sister finally opened up the products I gave her - now she won't use anything else on her daughter. My hubby and I used to get spots on our arms, knees, and back - haven't had a problem in 4 years. My hubby tried to buy OTC products again and the spots came back!

We also have very gentle shampoo/conditioner if you have spots on your head.
