Ear Stapling - Colleyville,TX

I would like to know if anyone has done the ear stapling to loose weight.

What can I do next?

I got the ear staple 6 months ago. I got it because, I had suddenly over the past year started gaining 3 pounds a month. (I think it was due to hormonal changes getting closer to my 40th b-day.) I have not lost any weight, but very important for me, I have stopped the 3 pounds per month cycle. I have maintained the same weight for six months. If it was due to the staple or not, or just a placibo effect... I don't know. I am just very thankful the weight gaining has stopped.

I am suppose to get this staple removed soon. (suppose to do a switch out every 6 months.) I am satisfied enough that I will get another ear staple after the two week waiting period.

Hope this helps.

My mom tried it.....didn't work for her.

My friend and I had this done a couple of years ago in Weatherford. It did not work for us. Unfortunetly I dont think anything will work but diet and exercise. How boring is that! Good luck with your goals to lose weight.

My husband daughter and husband did this, it helped for a little while and she lost some but not that much. Then they hit that plato where they couldn't lose any more weight. He requetted they did it.. she was going to try again then decided not to. It did help in some of the craving she had for food which of course helped her to lose the weight.

I've been told that if when weight gets to that point you don't seem to be losing it due to the fact you are losing fat and not muscle.. Muscle weights more therefore it seems you not losing. Then if you measure yourself it shows that you are losing inches just not the scales moving.

Also measure yourself before going on a diet of any kind in several places and keep a record of how much you are losing. Don't just put go by the scales.

My mother in law and I got it done and it didnt do anything for us. It was also very painful.. LOL never again will i do something like that..

Good luck with your decision.

I don't know a thing about ear stapling but if ear stapling works then my guess would be that ear piercing would work as well and since I know that my weight didn't go down even when I had 10 piercings in my ears I am thinking that it is probably a waste of money. I would put my money to better use if I were you. The best way to lose weight is definately to diet and exercise. If you need something to control your appetite try talking to your doctor. Especially before buying any of the over the counter things that claim to help because sometimes their risks out weigh their benifits. Rollerskating, walking, drinking ALOT of water and paying attention to portion sizes and the amount of calories I put into my body helped me to lose 60 pounds. I also weigh myself everyday because it helps me own up to what I put into my mouth. I don't deprive myself of foods I like I just try to make better choices and I really do my best to avoid fast food whenever possible. Knowing the nutrition facts of foods offered at restaurants or fast food places helps when having to choose between a whopper and a double cheese burger! I wrote a blog about weight loss stuff on my myspace page if you want to go there and read it. www.myspace.com/lapdogg the blog is called subway diet. :) I hope you do well with your weight loss endevors. I know that it is not easy for most of us to lose weight but it sure makes you feel better once you do it!

A bunch of ladies I work with all did it. Only one lost weight, but she went through a really bad break up.....so, I don't think it was the staple. They did say it hurt and a few got infected, so I'd say no to the staple if I were you. Good luck whatever you decide!
