Ear Piercing - Gardner,KS

My 6yr old would like to get her ears pierced. (Not sure she will go through with it when we get there) Any suggestions on where to go? Johnson County area. Also, I had a friend suggest that we go somewhere that they will do both ears at once? Any suggestions or comments about that would be appreciated too.

What can I do next?

I had both of my girls ears pierced at Claire's in Oak Park and was very pleased, they have a wide price range for the earrings and they use disposable equipment so it is only used once and then thrown away. We also had them done at Afterthoughts in the Great Mall once and they did a horrible job, the holes were very uneven and we had to let them close. I would make sure they can do both ears at the same time and give your daughter some Tylenol or Motrin about an hour before you go.

Claires or the icing are great places to go. I used to work at both places awhile back and we were trained to do ear piercing. They make sure everything is brand new, earrings, piercing gun, cleaning pads....I recommend either place at Oak Park mall or Great mall.

My mother-in-law took my almost 7 year old to Oak Park and got them pierced at Piercing Pagoda. They did both ears at the same time.

I would go to Claire's in Oak Park Mall. They don't do both ears at once due to health concerns. I have had mine done there and it was a great experience. They were very informed on appearance and health concerns. They will teach your daughter how to take care of it, and often have great deals on earrings among other fun things.

Check with your pediatrician. Ours does ear piercing...you can be more assured that the equipment used will actually be sterilized properly.

Isn't Claire's like a rite of passage??! ;) I don't know, Bridget may be right about her statements, but I wouldn't be into doing it myself...yikes! I've never heard any one having problems from a place like that, but if it worries you, check it out, I suppose.
