I got my daughter's ears pierced when she was 9 months old. Her pediatrician did it in his office, it was quick and virtually painless for her - he charged $50 but it was worth it for the peace of mind of knowing that he is a professional who deals with children all the time and that he uses sterile equipment.

You can ask your pediatrician for a good place for this sometimes they do it themselves. and she isn't to young i pierced my daughter's ears when she was 2 months old. good luck

Well in my family, children got thier ears pierced at least 1 mo after they were born. I've had my ears pierced for as long as I can remember. I see no problem with getting it done now, esp with her being 8 months already. My daughter hasint gotten hers done yet, but thats because she had an operation and may need another one, so I rather wait till afterwards. If she didnt need any surgery, I would of gotten them done when she was like a month old. I heard that her Ped. can also do piercings. You should ask yours. Otherwise, I dont see a problem. I had my daughter's ears pierced at a private jewelers when she was just 6 months old. I believe that some pediatricians do this as well. That may be a good place to start.

When my kids was little I took them to their doctor to get their ears pierced. There are jewelry stores that do it also but I felt better by taking them to the doctor so you can check with her doctor to see if they do it.

Just make sure there are two people there to do it. One on either side. Otherwise, one ear will get done and she won't stand for the other one to be done.

Hi C., I have 2 daughters and I took both of them to Clairs. I had both of them get their ears peirced with in their first 6 month of life. The people at Clairs were very patient and gental. After they do it they give you a solution to keep the piercing clean. I never had any problem or infections or anything. Since it was done at such a young age it did not have a big dramatic affect and neither daughter remembers anything.

Clairs are located in most malls. I am sure that if you look it up on line you will find a location near you.

You could have your peditrician do it, though they might charge a lot for it (mine charges $50.) But I had my daughter's ears pierced at Claires, a store where they sell jewelry and stuff like that, a little bit before she turned 1.

I know that some pediatricians do it. I have two sisters that both have daughters that got their ears pierced by their pediatricians. The only thing is that they both live upstate so I don't really have anyone that I could recommend for you. I also know that some places like claire's do it, but I think that the child has to be at least one. I hope this helps!!!
