Dear H., Congratulations! The drooling is due to teething which may start in a few months. My first was cutting a tooth as early as 4 months which really cut my breast feeding short! Keep a lot of those little cotton or terry cloth bibs and try to keep her little chin dry. Grandma Mary

My son has been drooling since he was 2 1/2 months old and he had his first teeth two weeks ago, when he was almost 5 months, so teething may be the reason your daughter is drooling.

Uh, babies drool. It isn't unusual at all. They don't even need to be teething. They just drool. They dont know what to do with all the saliva they make.

Normal. Some babies drool a lot. Just buy a lot of bibs and have one on her over her cute outfit and change the bib as needed.

TEETHING!!!! The teeth start moving long before you see them and it can cause all the drooling! A.

My son drooled like crazy from 2-6 months... then it tapered off and came back on occasion. It just happens. Don't let anyone tell you it's "gotta be teething." My son is 10 months and STILL has no teeth!

They just drool! Their salivary glands aren't mature yet, so it can just happen.

Enjoy her and get little bibs.

My daughter is a drooler too. She just had her 4 month check up and the Dr. said that some babies just do it and it isn't necessarily teething.

My son drooled like crazy starting at about 2 months. Everybody said he was probably teething (which he did start getting his teeth early). But it just seemed liked he never, ever stopped drooling. Our pediatrician told us that if he didn't stop drooling by 2, then we can worry. He did eventually stop drooling at about 20 months. We just stocked up bibs and changed shirts when we needed to. Good luck!

Yes, My son did the same thing. He got his first tooth at 4 month as two others where coming in. He is only 5 now and already has lost 3 teeth!! It's crazy. So your little one is not as abnormal as you may think.

Lusy is probably correct, she is probably teething..

Did you know the order a child's teeth come in are the same order they will fall out?

I definitely remember my oldest doing that, and she got her first tooth at age 4 months, my 2nd got his first tooth at 5 months, so it is not too soon for teething to begin.
