Just wanted to get some good recommendations for several different types of physicians in the northland area. Am needing the names of some optomotrists, dermatologists, and internal specialists and/or family practitioners for my husband & I. Also, looking for a general dentist who is also good at cosmetic dentistry. As well as, an OB/GYN for myself. Also, any good recommendations for where to get children's eye glasses. Thanks so much for your help! It always helps to have the opinions of others for which Dr.'s to trust.

I spent a lot of time trying different doctors before I found two that I love. My OB/GYN is Dr. Kelly Nichols at St. Luke's Northland and my internist is Dr. Kathryn Hanson at North Kansas City Hospital. They are both fabulous!

I also tried several dentists before finding Dr. Kristy Fisher. Her office is near Picture Hills. I don't know about cosmetic dentistry - we haven't had to have any yet - but she is a wonderful dentist and has a great disposition with kids.

I absolutely LOVE my family doctor, he is an internal medicine doc. His name is Ryan Huyser. He is in Liberty and is at the Liberty Clinic and Liberty Hospital as well. He is very knowledgeable and kind and very thourough. He has been working with me with several issues after having my son. The phone number to the office is ###-###-####. As for OBGYN, I really liked Northland OBGYN, specifically Dr. Lori Kramer, she is AWESOME!!!!! I ended up with a blood clot after having my son and was re admitted to the hospital in another unit. She would come and check on me and always answered my questions straight forward and really listened and explained the reasoning behind everything instead of just expecting me to listen because she was the doctor. I hope you find the doctors you trust!! Oh, and i know you didnt ask, but if you need a peditrician, I like Childrens Health Care, they have 4 doctors and I really like them all, my son was pretty sick after we brought him home, he was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palatte, and we took him to the pedi when he was 5 days old. The doc looked at him for about 20 seconds and said he wanted him down at CMH...they really know their stuff and if they dont they make sure they send you to someone who does. and they have weekend hours and you can contact a doc anytime of the night. Good luck and God Bless!!

I recommend Dr. Thomas F. Anthony, Dermatologist. He's located at 5601 NE Antioch Road, Ste. 3, Kansas City, Missouri 64119 ###-###-####). He's an excellent doctor and a very nice man to boot! Sorry I have no suggestions for the other doctors. I live near Kearney and go to Kearney Family Medicine (Dr. John Barth) for my GP and my OB/Gyn is in Cameron. If you want to venture that far north, his name is Daut Gjoni and he's located at Cameron Regional Medical Center.
