Double Decker Stroller & Double Snap'n'Go Stroller - Double Strollers with two car seats

I want to know if this product exists. I want a double stroller, with the capability to have two car seat adaptors on it, not just one. I'm having twins and don't want to have to remove one baby at a time from stroller to car. If anyone knows of a stroller/car seat combo that is built for twins I want it, price doesn't matter. Thanks!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thanks everyone who responded, it looks like there are couple different options for me to consider. I am brand new to MamaSource and i am loving it! I can't believe I got 17 responses to my question in less than 24 hours! I appreciate any Twin advise anyone has to give, these will be my first babies so I still have a lot to learn! Thank you again, from a mom to be in May 09.

My cousin had twins in Sept. 2007. She had the Graco Ionic Quattro Duo Stroller. I know that it can hold two infant seats.

I'll be interested in what you learn... I find out Tuesday if I have twins growing as well. My HCG numbers are so high they suspect multiples...

I think you are describing a double snap'n'go stroller. Also, there is a stroller called a double decker stroller that is really cool. I have twins and someone gave me one of those for when I had the babies in the carseats. the car seats just pop on the frame and you don't have to take the babies out of the car seat carriers. The double snap and go's are good too, I just was given the double decker stroller so I didn't need that one. Once my twins got out of the car seat carriers, I used a Peg Perego Aria Twin stroller. I loved it because it was super light and easy to carry around in my car. Congratulations on your twins. Mine were born January 20th 2006 so they will be turning 3 this year (identical boys). Also, I wanted to let you know that I own a website for families of twins called www.multiplemomsrock.com I design really nice shirts and gifts for moms, dads and grandparents to help celebrate the joy of having twins. check it out when you get a chance.

Oh yeah, also here is a tip. I don't know what the policy is in Oregon, but in California you can request a temporary handicap placard that you can use for 6 months and you can park in any handicap parking spot. My doctor had the form and helped me fill it out but I think you can get the form online somewhere. As I got closer to delivery, my doctor didn't want me to over do it, so he suggested the placard. Once the babies were born, it was sooooo nice to have that close parking spot and extra room around the car to work with the car seats, etc. Just a thought. blessings to you!

I reccomend the snap-n-go double stroller. They are long but light for your car seats. Then get a good double when they are too big for the "baby bucket" type of travel. I preferred the side by side Maclaren. Watch craigslist for used ones (especially the double snap-n-go) as you will only use it for 6 to 10 months. Also watch the twins sites for twin rummage sales. They will be a great resource to you. Enjoy!

Not sure of brands but they do have them at Babies R Us. Congrats!

I think the Bob double stroller can do that. It's a jogging stroller, but would definately be okay for everyday. just make sure you get a Bob revolution if you plan to use it for everyday so the front wheel swivels instead of being still.

Hi S., I found myself going through a similar process a year ago when I delivered my twins. My husband and I bought the Graco Snug Fit car seats and bought two extra bases. Of the two of styles we chose I preferred the Devon style. It just seemed to be sturdier. We didn't bother with stroller until they were out of the Graco carriers and then we got a Baby Trends side by side jogging stroller.

When we didn't want to have the Graco seats we would put them in baby wraps like the Moby : http://www.mobywrap.com/
I preferred this since I could breastfeed without having an additional cover. I was able to carry both babies in it until about 4 months and then I switched to a Mei Tei carrier and figured out how to put one on my back and one on my front.

Good luck feel free to email me if you have any questions.

If one exists, I wouldn't use it. The weight of the seats coupled with baby weight would make it hazardous to lift and move for most Moms and even some Dads. One combo (seat/child) will weight in the neighborhood of 20-25 lbs, two at least 50 lbs, and this is an infant (6 months or younger). I've seen twin strollers with two removable seats, but they were separated. Having two carseats together in a car is not a good thing either, the interaction between the two could become a problem as they grow older and because they're facing the back, you won't always be able to referee any interactions while driving. One baby can be problematic if they get upset, two....?!

The only thing is the stroller and carseats are sold separately, I just thought I would let you know!

I have and LOVE the Contours by Kolcraft - Options Tandem Stroller. It's a great double stroller that will grow with your children. It comes with one car seat attachment, but you can purchase an additional attachment for the second car seat. Here is the link with picture and features. The versatility of this stroller is awesome and it's VERY easy to use.
