Double Stroller? - Indianapolis,IN
Does anyone have a double stroller they just love? I am looking for something that is light weight and easy to fold up to put in the car. I have a 15 month old and a baby due soon, so I really don't want a sit and stand type- just a full double stroller, where I can use my carseat for the baby and my toddler can ride too!

We have this stroller http://www.strollerdepot.com/items/peg-perego-aria-twin-6... the Peg Perego 60/40 and the car seat that goes with it. I LOVE IT! I really hate the car seat but the stroller is amazing. I debated and knew that i'd end up buying a side by side maclaren anyway if i had a tandem stroller so that's how i justified the cost, but I really truly love this stroller.

Hi K.~
I know that you said that you didn't want a Sit n Stand stroller, but I thought I would give you the solution I come up with when I was in your position. My daughter is 2 yrs older than my son.... and when he was born I didn't really think she was ready for the sit n stand option either. After searching & researching I found the Baby Trend sit n stand plus. It is a sit n stand that has the versatility of being a regular run of the mill double stroller or a sit n stand! The great thing is it basically "grows" with your childrens wants/ needs. I still use our sit n stand plus on a regular basis for outings to the zoo, mall or anytime we're going to be on the go for a while.. and my children are now 4 yrs and 22 months. Here is a link so you can check it out yourself.http://www.strollerdepot.com/items/baby-trend-sit-n-stand...
You can also go to Baby Trends website... I just thought I would give you this one b/c Stroller depot is good about running sales. I have bought both my baby trend sit n stand plus & my double side by side jogging stroller from this site b/c they seemed to always have better prices (atleast at the times I was searching for myself) Good luck finding the perfect stroller for your needs. Oh and Congrats on baby #2!

I have the graco quatro tour double (and single for that matter) and I love it! It is a bit heavy, but I can open and close it with one hand if I need to. I do not consider myself a strong person and I am able to lift it in the car because it folds compactly, making it easier to list! Hope this helps...and congratulations!!! Two is so much fun!!!!

Hi K.,
We have the Evenflo Tandem "Take me too" stroller and I love it. Most of the "regular" priced doubles are pretty large and heavy so I wouldn't put it in the light category though I think there are some doubles in the $200 plus category that are lighter if you can afford it. The Evenflo is very sturdy and easy to maneuver. My boys are 19 months apart so I was about the same as you and we went shopping for our double. I put my son in the front of each and drove them around the store. I agree with the review above the Jeep was VERY difficult to turn with any weight in it. We liked the Evenflo the best because both seats had snack/cup tray and the parents had a cup holder/tray and the best part is the child in the back can get out by himself, there is no bar in the way that he must be lifted or climb in and out. This is great at the zoo or fair where is was in and out quite a bit. It does have one hand fold and the back seat reclines all the way. We are going to Disney this spring and I was thinking of getting a different double stroller just because we will have to carry this one on the buses each day and I thought a lighter one would be nicer but I couldn't find one that had all the features of ours that I couldn't do without for less money so I guess we made a good choice. Good Luck with the boys!

I bought a Graco double stroller at a gently used kids sale...I LOVE it! It fits into the trunk of our Sable (or regular Graco doesn't fit). The back seat reclines fully, and the front seat reclines about half way. The sun sheild in front is removable, and both seat trays are removable. I used it for my 2 1/2 year old and a new born, and will be using it again this fall for my two youngest (newborn and 22 months).

Hi K.~
I agree, we absolutely love our sit n' stand deluxe from One Step Ahead! Love it! It really does 'grow' with your little ones and is compatible with most carseats. I searched, searched, and researched before settling on this one. I am glad I did. It has great mobility and is fairly easy to fold and haul. Good luck!
And congratulations on your expected arrival!!

My SIL gave me her fancy perego dual stroller that is roomy and comfy, but is quite large and hard to turn while kids are in it. But is is super sturdy. And expensive. Good luck and have fun! I have a 5yo, 2yo and 7month old.

Hi K.,
Welcome to club of having 2 kids, well almost. :-) I just had my second in Feb & we LOVE our double stroller. Ours is the One Step Ahead "Sit & Stand Elite" double stroller. I know you said you're not interested in a sit & stand but this is a convertible. Right now I'm using it as a double stroller for my 2 month old & my 22 month old. Later, if needed it can turn into the sit & stand. I really like the grow with me flexibility of it. Someone else suggested the baby trend one that does the same thing & I also really liked that one. I just happened to get a better price on the one step ahead one...and I think it has something silly that's better, like one extra cup holder or something. :-) I suggest looking at these 2 convertibles & seeing if they will meet your needs. Good luck!

I love my Graco DuoGlider. It is big, but it handles well. We tried out a Jeep double - that was terrible! You couldn't even turn it when someone was sitting in front.
