Hope this does not sound too strange...I remember someone telling me that there was an agency that accepted gently used bras for donation. Does anyone know of such a charity? I would prefer to drop off here in the Phoenix area, but I would consider mailing a flat rate box if it is not close. I think I saw something on line but that agency asked for funds to send the bras out, I cannot send extra funds. Thanks for any information that you may have - cleaning the closets and would like to donate!!!
There are women in shelters that have left all of their "things" in the middle of the night with the hope of escaping an abusive relationship. They would LOVE to have an old, used bra. Call your local women's shelter.

From what I have been told bras are like shoes, best not reused.
Each and every charity that has a thrift store will take bras. Soap works and people that shop in those stores know that. They usually sell them for just a few dollars if even that much.
I always drop them off at the women's shelter. They are always happy to get them.
If the bras are in good shape, check into local women's shelters or thrift stores. We also have a rescue mission that you can dontate things to and they'll give you a receipt so you can claim them as charitable contributions on your taxes.
Underthings, to me, seem like a strange thing to have if they belonged to someone else, but let me tell you....
My sister has an annual yard sale and her bras and nightgowns and slips are the first things to go. The first year I helped her, I couldn't believe she put that stuff out, but they went like hotcakes. I never would have believed it if I hadn't seen it. My sister is large busted and she doesn't buy cheap bras.
Women were happy to get things in that size for a dollar each.
Many churches also have "clothing closets" for families in need.
Surely, you should be able to find somewhere to donate them.

Not a good idea. First, each and every bra is treated to comfirm each woman's individual breast shape. The treatment is activated by body heat the first time the bra is worn. So this means some one elses bra will never ever fit right or be as compfy as your own. And Second, bras a constructed and manufactured to last about 6 month before loosing integrity. If you handwash you might get another month out of a bra. If you really want to do something nice for women in shelters, drop off some new bras instead of your old worn out rejects. These women been through enough.
I have donated bras that were practically new. They were bras that I bought, wore once or twice and did not like how they fit. Sure they felt great in the dressing room, but did not pass the "all day" test. I hope someone was able to use them.
