Dollhouse for Newborn-sized Doll

My 4-year-old granddaughter has asked for a doll that she can take the clothes on and off by herself, and also a dollhouse. She's had Barbies, but she has trouble with the clothes due to how tiny the pieces are. I have a newbornsized doll, and clothes the right size are at Dollar Tree. Now I'm seeking a dollhouse. I went online, but it looks like everything is sized for Barbie or Polly Pocket. I'm not exactly a toolbelt diva, but if building is my only option I can give it a try. Any ideas?? Thank you!

So What Happened?

First of all, thanks to everyone for all the advice. It turns out she DOES want a Barbie dollhouse after all! So..now I'm looking for a really affordable Barbie dollhouse. Am receptive to ideas...so far no response to my Freecycle post. Have a nice day, all!

I'v spent the past few months searching for doll houses and the biggest ones I have come across accomodate Barbie sized dolls. I've never seen a doll house for dolls bigger than that. My suggestion would be to get the bigger furniture (i.e. cribs, swings, highchairs, etc.) for the newborn dolls and maybe try to build a house around it.

The Rose Petal Cottage is very cute. I was sorry my older girls were out of that stage when it came out. It may be something your granddaughter would like. It is small enough to put up in the house but big enough for her to play in. I do wonder though if your grand means a regular dollhouse for her Barbies. Does she still play with them? My girls also had problems putting the clothes on but they wanted a house for the Barbie specifically. When I asked about dressing her, they told me they could "still play with the house if they didn't put on new clothes" (duh, mom). Leave it to a child to tell you how it is. :)

There is a tent like house for dolls-sounds perfect for your granddaughter-it is by playskool and it is called the rose petal cottage-I havent read reviews on it but looks cute-my only other suggestion would be to get her a small tent and put doll furniture in it--Good luck
