Five months postpartum and I still have that brown line on my belly, though it faded a little bit, but it is still there. So is it gonna go completely away one day? how long does it take?

What can I do next?

I'm also 5 months PP, and mine is still really faint, but there.

I scrubbed it with a loofah in the shower, and honestly, most of it came off!

I had it for both my pregnancies and it went away each time. I don't recall how long it took, but I think it was around 6 to 9 months later. Don't worry it should go away.

I had mine for almost a year after I had my son and about 6 months after I had my daughter. My line was much darker with my son.

It will go away.....I'm 5 1/2 mos postpartum and I'm not exactly sure when it disappeared completely, but overtime it faded and one day I realized it was gone! The time varies from person to person.

With my first, the line went away within a couple months. I'm now 8 months post with my second and it's fading my more slowly. If you'd like to see it go away, I suggest using a loofah on the area. I honestly have forgotten about mine - since a mommy's belly after 2 babies isn't always the best so I don't pay much attention to my belly :) I suppose that now that I"m focusing on exercising a lot more, my belly will get better and then I'll notice the line more but I suggest using a loofah if you want to see it go away faster (this is what I did after my 1st).

After I had my kids it took about 9 full months for it to really go away, I remember thinking that it took 9 months for the baby to be born and another 9 for the "line of life" as they call it to fade away. Things don't really regulate in a real way until the baby is one, in my opinion! You're almost there! After a year you won't notice it at all.

I can't remember for sure but i know with both my kids it took a while for it to go away. I think by 6 or 7 months it was finally gone.

With my daughter 7 years ago it disappeared almost immediately. With number 2 I'm 7 weeks postpartum and still have it. Who knows when it will go this time (if ever!).

Well my last baby is now 35 and I still have a faint line but I have three wonderful children and they are the gift from God - so the line does fade some...........what what a gift you have from it.

It's been 6 months and I have a faint line still. It was very predominant for the first 4 months and started fading relatively quickly after that.

Mine's almost entirely faded (first child three years ago, second one last April but the line didn't re-darken the second time around.) I actually liked my line and miss it. :) What's funny though is that my first kid was born with a line there and still has it!

my daughter is 17 months and I still have mine. It is slowly fading but definetly still there. I have heard that sometimes it doesn't go away at all.

It took about 7 months for mine to fade. Don't expose it to the sun, it'll take longer.

Mine's gone and my daughter isn't quite 2 - I can't remember when it went away, but it did. :)
