Does Anyone Sell on Ebay?
I never have, and have never even bought anything on there. I have a bid on there right now as a matter of fact and it is over soon. Anyhow, my question is this. I had someone in my area contact me a few months ago about helping me sell on Ebay since I have never done it and did not want to do it alone. She was going to do it with me, and also her stuff too. Well, she never got back to me and I really want to do this. Does anyone want to help me out? I really dont know the first thing about this and would really love some help from someone.
Thanks,
S. Bailey CLD

Hi S.
My stepdad helps others with this, but I was just wondering, how much help you would need- he is so 'on the ball' and such an organized and reliable person, I would want him to get paid something. What did you have in mind?
Take care.

Hi S., I sell on Craigslist.com all the time. It is a great way to make extra money. I've never tried eBay. I think the benefit of eBay is that if more than one person is interested, they will all know and bid on it. Craigslist is very simple, but you don't have the power of bidding wars.

Hi S.,
I have sold and bought quite a bit on eBay. Mostly collectible Barbie dolls. But please be careful. I paid and accepted payments through PayPal. Twice someone tapped into my account. I was then sent e-mails from someone saying I won a camera and owed $300. It's just the usual, never give personal information and notify eBay immediately.
My husband on the otherhand is very different. He is currently selling oriental rugs, collectible vintage fishing creole, jacket, etc. Like the person below, collectibles are good items to sell. He also sold a car last month on eBay and will sell another one next month.
Good luck......

I just sold 4 sets of custom curtains on ebay, and made almost $300. I would have never made that in a garage sale. My husband actually wanted to cut the curtains up for paint cloths. (Good thing I didn't listen to him again!) I didn't sell them on my own though, I went through an Ebay store. They are all over, and they do charge you as well as Ebay, but you don't have to worry about shipping items, etc.. Since I was successful with these curtains, I am now checking other items in my house to see if they are worth selling. I have a dryer I need to get rid of, so I will try my garage sale first, then craigslist, then ebay.

I sell on Ebay and I read your message shortly after all of my items closed this evening. I have been selling for over a year and it works pretty well. I am a part time powerseller and I make decent money. If you already have items to sell, you have to research costs. Get an idea of what items are selling for. This way, you can have an idea of a worth. You can also start bidding out at 99 cents and hope for the best. I only do this on items I know are desirable. Get a digital camera, it will save you money in the long run. If you have any questions, let me know. I am happy to help.

Hi - I buy and sell on ebay frequently and am more than happy to help you or give you advice. First off, do you have a digital camera, and do you know how to use it? That's the first step and everything else follows!! There are some things I learned the hard way and am happy to shere them. You can email me off line if you want to know more. J.

S.. It really is quite easy. If you go to ebay's site-- they have many tutorials and help files on how to do this!
I've sold things many times. Are you just selling stuff occasionally or do you want to set up a store?
There's also third party software to help you manage things easily.
