Has anyone succesfully worked with a local agency to get their child into modeling? I want to investigate the possibility of putting my son in some print ads, but I want to work with a reputable group and don't know where to start.

What can I do next?

Definitely, the Campbell Agency in Dallas. They are wonderful. I book models with Campbell now for 12 years.
Love them ! I use Kim Dawson in a pinch.

Last week I submitted photos of my son and daughter to Kim Dawson, The Campbell Agency and The Clutts Agency. The Clutts Agency called right away and wants to see my daughter. Any advice/words of wisdom? Has anyone had experience with the The Clutts Agency?

I can tell you one to avoid--John Robert Powers--a cover for selling "coaching" and "portfolios" for hundreds of dollars before your child is 'ready'.

Kim Dawson is good but I understand they have a TON of kids they represent. Try Campbell Agency, I hear they are good. Any of them... check with the Better Business Bureau before signing anything!!!!!!!!!!!

Stay AWAY from Paige Parkes we had a horrible situation with them... they tried to tell me they would represent my kids and wanted us to do this "modeling camp" but didn't tell us that's what it was. Then, when I read the fine print on the contract, it stated that they weren't obligated to represent us after doing the camp and the camp was $1,500 for both of my kids.

I knew this was wrong because both of my children had representation in Atlanta and had 3 years of work experience. They were just scamming us.

Just be careful and remember -- if it sounds to good to be true it probably is.
