Does Anyone Know??

I have a refrigerator that is just sitting in my garage. It still works but just do not need it b/c we have another one. Does anyone know of any companies that would pick it up for free or if anyone needs one. I would be happy to give them it. It is pretty old but still works. Just write me back if you have any advice on the topic.

What can I do next?

Thanks everybody for your help. I found a single dad that really need a fridge off Craigs list and hopefully he will pick it up today. Thank you all again.

Not sure what you decided to do with the refrigerater but I always call Mission Arlington. In fact, I have a washer and dryer that will be picked up by them this week. It's a great way to give another family something they really need but cannot afford it--especially single moms with kiddos!!

Try the electric company. Back home, they used to pick up old refridgerators and even give you a credit on your next bill for replacing it with an energy star one. Worth a shot!

What color is it and type? I'm wanting to replace my old one because it dosn't match everything else. I'll go for an old one if it still works and is in good condition.

Call the Salvation Army. They've picked up all kinds of things from me, and you get a tax write off!! :)

CCA picks things up. Just call them and they will come and pick it up. It will go to under privlidged families.

Mission Arlington is a wonderful charity. They do not resell any of the items that are donated. They clean them up & refurbish them (if need be). Then they give them to needy families in the area. Look them up in the phone book. They will come & pick up your refrigerator. They'll also give you a receipt for your taxes.
