We are currently looking for a Church, south of the river. I have been researching some and one that we have been looking at is Hosanna! in Lakeville. Does anyone go there or know anything about it? We are looking for a family friendly and child active Church.

Thanks for any help!!

Believe it or not the churches south of the river have a website.. http://southoftheriver.com/churches.html anyways -- Hosanna! is a well known church, and I've heard nothing but good things about it. I have heard however that for the children's programs it is a bit spendy if you have a large family.

We just about chose Hosanna, everything I hear about it is good. The children's programs were a little too expensive for our family, with five kids, and that's the only negative I can say. We chose River Valley Church at county rd 42 & Pilot Knob. It was a bit smaller (we are from northern Minnesota, church attendance was around 150 on a Sunday) and a lot more intimate for me and the kids. They have Sunday school, children's church, and Wednesday night service. Then, for the kids at 13, they have the same, on Wednesday night is a youth group, and then Sunday night they have a special group meeting. My kids have all enjoyed it a lot. It's non denominational with a contemporary worship. I enjoy being able to feel the spirit move there. Another one that is very active, non-denominational, a tad more loud and big is Celebration church in Lakeville. They have TONS of kids activities, but again, we chose against it because of size. River Valley is growing steadily, but I still feel like I can fit in. I hope you find the church home for you!

I'm not sure if Shakopee would be too far for you. I attend a wonderful Church, Southbridge Community Church. I don't have a kid old enough to be in their KidZone (my little one is 3 months old :), but I can tell you I have never seen so many excited kids in a church before! They all seem to love it! They have a website southbridgecc.org I'm sorry I don't know anything about Hosanna.

If you wanted to drive to Apple Valley there is a great church that we belong to by the MN Zoo. Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, they have so many great programs and an awesome preschool. If interested their website is www.sotv.org.
