Doctor Saying Was Treated at Appointment for Something Wasn't Treated For

You should be able to request a copy of your medical files from the Dr. (he will likely charge you an administrative fee for doing so). After you review the notes and identify what the inconsistencies are between your knowledge of what you were treated for vs what he has included in your medical files, I would write him a letter (send it certified mail with return receipt requested so you have proof he received it) stating those inconsistencies and request a telephone conference or meeting to resolve those inconsistencies. If he is still not receptive to you, I would file a formal complaint with the Texas Medical Board (http://www.tmb.state.tx.us/default.php) and get their assistance in the matter. Before filing a formal complaint, I would advise the Dr. that you intend to file a formal complaint if he does not respond to you. You will almost certainly get a response from the Dr. if you have to take that avenue. Also, if you do not wish to have to pay the administrative fees Dr.'s offices usually charge for medical record copies, just send him the letter and bypass getting copies of your file.

I would take it up with the Medical Review Board & even give the BBB a try.

I hate insurance and dealing with them so I feel your pain. What I would do is call a lawyer. At this point the doctor and insurance will just ignore you, but will listen more to a lawyer. Good luck.
Also, as soon as you can, get back on insurance. I know it is expensive, but it is necessary.

All I can say is I had my 4 kids ages 8, 6, 4, and 2 seen by Dr. Leslie Allison and he is a complete joke...medicine happy doctor who I feel is in it for the money. put shots in my daughters health record that she never recieved and billed the insurance company. Always wanted appointments for check-ups after routine check-ups and such. I found another doctor in Katy who is wonderful! I use to see Dr. Allison he is a no good doctor he kept prescribing me the same stuff over and over and never solving my problem so I left to see another doctor, the bad thing is that my children were seeing him too and I never switch them doctors until our daughter got sick and it had been about a year since she had been there so my husband took her, he prescribed her medicine that was for her body weight one year ago so needless to say she didn't get better we had to take to the Katy Urgent Care thats where she got the medicine she needed. My husband was furious with Dr. Allison he called his office to let him know about the mistake he made one week later we recieved a check in the mail for our copay we made that day our daughter went to see him! So I'm sure he is aware of faults and his patient list should be getting shorter! Another thing have you asked them for your medical records they should have everything written down and you could possibly get lucky and it could show no record of what he claims! Something you could fax to your insurance. Hope everything works out for you.

Your former doctor has to supply your records to your new doctor, there may be a small charge. Ask your new doctor to see your records and check the notes from that visit. You may get your present doctor to talk to the insurance company about what he or she finds in the records, or possibly threaten litigation to get your former doctor to relay the correct information to the insurance carrier.

I don't know this doctor but I would recommend you write to the BBB and complain about him. Perhaps you shold also contact the AMerican Medical association. He is a dangerous man. No one has the right to act like that no matter who they are. There are so many better doctors around. I have not been in the USA for long but I will definately not go to that doctor.

You can request your files from the doctor and see what they say and you can also file a complaint with the state for the demeaning phone conversation and also about lying. You and the doctor can still have a "relationship" till they send a cetified letter to you saying that they are no longer your doctor.
