Doctor Recommendations

Hi S.,

We use a family doctor from Associates of Family Medicine. It is located right off a south blvd near Troy Beaumont.

Dr. Jennifer Raffin is the doctor we see and she is great. She answers all questions, gives you time and getting an appointment is not hard. If need be I can get in the same day I call.

###-###-####. We talked about how much we loved this practice that my sister, and inlaws now use the practice as well. There are a total of 5 doctors in the practice.

Our pediatricians are Child Health Associates on 16 MIle just west of Crooks. They go to Beaumont. There are about 6 doctors in the practice, and I don't have problems making appointments. They also ahve an office in Farmington Hills. I really like them, there are male and females in the practice.

I use Lifetime Medical Associates P.C.. They are located right off of South Blvd and you can see Troy Beaumont from their offices. My doctor that I see is Cordell Yoder. I really like him and he always takes time to listen to me. Getting an appointment has never been an issue for me. They have 3 doctors in the practice and a Physicians Assistant. Our pediatrician is Dr. William Chung ###-###-####. He is the chief ped. at Crittenton. He was recommended to us from my obgyn. He is very good with our daughter. He happily accommodated us for an "interview" appointment before our daughter was born. He answered/answers all questions willingly. We never feel rushed. He has one main nurse. I really like the small office feel- you get very personal attention. Definitely worth checking out. His office is at Livernois & Avon. Good luck!

If you don't mind separate doctors for you and your children I loooove Pediatric Consultants of Troy. Absolutely no complaints. The staff, doctors, and environment are all very pleasant. They are located inside of Troy Beaumont.

My kids go to Northeast Pediatrics in Rochester. They are affliated with Crittenton. 2-3 OF DRS there were featured in HOUR detroit as top docs. We love it there, and they easily fit last minute illness in.

Ditto on Lifetime Medical but I go to Dr Kirtley. She is a female MD so it depends on what you prefer. She is an Int Med and Peds so the whole family can go there. My kids go to Sharon Geimer on 23 and Deqindre and I think she is a wonderful doctor too. I hope that helps.

Hey, S.. I have been going to Dr. Bradford Merrelli for about 20 years...he is off Rochester Road between Hamlin and Auburn. He is excellent. Good bedside manner, if I'm sick I can get in that day. He also works out of Crittenton. My pediatrician is Dr. Chawla, also on Rochester Road near Avon. My OB referred him to me as he was the doctor for his children...great recommendation. Also works out of Crittenton, can get in right away. Both doctors are very professional but easy to talk to as well. Good luck.

Hi, I take my children to Dr. Ami Mavani. She is located in Rochester Hills next to Rochester High School (corner of Livernois and Walton Blvd.).
She is a fabulous pediatrician who really loves her job and goes to great lengths to make children well again. She is affiliated with Troy and R.O. Beaumont and I believe Crittenton Hospitals. Lastly, she practices both homeopathic and traditional medicine per families requests. Meaning, if you prefer homeopathic only, she is very knowledgeable in this area and will treat only with this, but if you strongly have a preference for more traditional forms of medicine, she will meet your needs this way as well. Very, very knowledgeable, patient and kind. My family and I really like her a lot. Good luck with your search! I hope this was helpful.

I take my baby to NE Pediatrics @ Rochester and Avon. You can always get an appointment and all the doctors there are great. They have privleges at Crittenton and a couple have them at Detroit Childrens' as well.

Also, for myself I go to the Family Doctor in Clinton Township, but their docs have privleges at Mt.Clemens General - so that's a bit of a hike.

Pediatric Consultants of Troy - inside Troy Beaumont Hospital, and also an office at 23/Schoenherr. They have great doctors, and they have a night owl clinic open every night (including weekends) from 5-8 PM!!!

It took me a long time to find a doctor a really liked, but I did find one that is really good and he does listen. He is conservative, but with your best medical interest. Meaning for example he will not phone in anti-biotics for you even if you are sure you have a sinus infection. He is a Beaumont doctor (internal medicine) and practices out of Troy.

And because I like him so well I have asked him for recommendations. I got my pediatricians from him and love them. It is a group of doctors. My favorite is Dr. Myra Kolin, but I also like Dr. Lisa Klein (younger) and Dr. Lee Weinstein. They are also Beaumont and practice out of Troy.

I am not sure how long it takes to get new patient appointments, but I have never had a problem getting appointments. I have two kids and have been going for 4 years. Good luck!

We have a couple of wonderful doctors at The Family Practice on Barclay Circle in Rochester Hill....it's just off Rochester Road but the movie theatre and the Target Mall.
Dr. Steve and Dr Kim..husband and wife team. Other drs available also in the building but these 2 are ours. They listen, give you the extra time you need to discuss whatever.

My pediatrician is Michael Williams. His office is in the Well Pointe Building, right in front of Troy Beaumont. He always listens, and I never feel rushed (and I often come with a list of questions). He is open (I asked about alternative vacines schedules) and I feel like he always gives me a good recommendation without judging or being reactionary. I can always get my kids in, although sometimes we see the P.A.-- who is great too. They aren't always running on time either...but that is b/c Dr. Williams doesn't rush anyone out. The PA will get the Dr. if she has any questions or concerns. There are two male and one female Dr.'s in the group. I have seem the female Dr. 3x and she is also wonderful...if you have a gender preference. This practice also sees adults with an internal medicine practice.
