I ♥♥♥ that show! This season has been annoying and slower. I thought the point when it started was to show the struggles of being a teen mom. Now it seems they are all pretty comfortable and doing well. How many of them actually work? 1. How many are actually in school? How about the teen moms that have to juggle work, school & are living w/ their parents? Amber lives in a nice house, no job. Maci lives in a beautiful townhouse, neither her or boyfriend have a job. Caitlyn and Tyler have their own by place working at a pizza parlor? Farrah...well she has always been well off. But its hard to say that they are not getting compensated being on this show. But the way they are all living is just not a reality for most teen parents.

Guilty~ Yes, love it... I'm a reality junkie!
I think all teenagers should watch it.. I know this show would scare me away from wanting to become pregnant at that age!

That show makes me so sad. I personally think that show is the BEST birth control ever. Kids should be REQUIRED to watch this show and see how hard it it to raise a kid and grow-up FAST.

The only ones that have their heads on right are Tyler and Caitlyn. They made the right choice for sure. Out of ALL the "parents" they had the best shot at doing well with their child.

The rest are a hot mess and I'm throwing Maci in there too. Ryan is a joke and is ONLY worried about his stupid hats and d-bag clothes. Not sure what attracted any of those girls to any of those guys!

Don't get me started on Gary and Amber...

It is my guilty pleasure. As far as appropriate - not sure what you mean by that. Appropriate for who? I wouldn't let my kids watch it and don't think I'd want my teenagers watching it if I had teenagers.

Sometimes I just like knowing my life could be a lot worse than it seems to be.

I don't watch it and if I had a children old enough to watch I would suggest they watch otherwise. Kids aren't going to realize that not all teen moms live like that. They don't all have nice homes/apartments, their own cars, can afford boob jobs, take plane rides, etc. I think only okay part of the show is the couple that made the choice of adoption. They show how hard that choice is/was for them and how they didn't get to graduate with heir class, they both work and go to school.

Guilty! I don't have much time for TV but I do watch Teen Mom and 16 and pregnant along with my daughter. My daughter is 18 and it has been just another "dont do this" in conjuction of me always talking to her AND her boyfriend as well as sharing the tests I promote for the lab I work in for sexually transmitted infections, pregnancy and cervical cancer. My daughter can't believe how young and infected some of these young girls we test at my client's offices. Thank goodness she has her plans and thus far is sticking by them. She doesn't want to end up like her bio-parents.

the closest I come to watching reality tv is watching food network. Well...and anything with Gordon Ramsay, but I consider that the same thing only with more profanity.

I think it a great show and all teens should have to watch it. It shows a lot of relationships that don't work out and shows the struggles of trying to balance teen life with being a parent to a newborn.

I have watched it before, and I can see how it could be a guilty pleasure, however, I think rather than teaching that teen pregnancy is hard and relationships don't work out, what it does is glamorize it. Even though these girls are going through all kinds of drama, they're still on TV. I think it sends a message that it gets you attention, and normalizes teen pregnancy in the eyes of the public.

Guilty! I dont watch much TV, but that is one of them. I really like it. It shows what it is like to be a Teen Mom with different scenarios (the one whose boyfriend dies, the two that choose adoption but stay together etc) The only thing that bugs me is it doesnt show how they struggle financially. I think they are all living off MTV's money, therefore all have nice houses and dont work. Other than that, it is very addicting.

I have never watched it but my older daughter watches all those strange shows. Last year just before fall exam week she calls me with her usual stressed out call. Mom, I keep having dreams I am pregnant!!! I think it is from watching teen mom. Well then stop watching it. Oh, okay. :)

Twice a year like clockwork I get these strange calls, love that kid.

Oh at the time of the call she was 20 so not sure how it would apply anyway. :-/

I was told that since shows like that came out teen pregnancy has gone way up.

Yeah don't watch it but from what my daughter has told me they don't do stories about the teen mom that took it as a wake up call, buckled down in school and made a real life for their child. Apparently that doesn't draw viewers. :(

Oh my god, looking at the other responses do you really think that is what teens see in the show. No they see life is great, they are out on their own raising their kids. What other teens think is their life will be different. Their parents wouldn't let them live like that so they will give them the money they need. They wouldn't have to work a job like that their mom was a stay at home. You can't look at shows like that from your own perspective, you have to look at it through the eyes of the immortal teen. Bad things only happen to everyone else.

I watch the show all the time. I love it! Although I am not a teen mom, I am 35 and married with three kids but I still like to watch it!! I guess it would be appropriate for older kids but I wouldn't let my 2,4 or 6 year old watch it!

Yes, and I love it! I was not a teen mom at all but I am so hooked on that show. ( I also watch 16 & pregnant) I think it shows that being a mom is hard and not as Glamorous and fun as some of these teens think it is.

I watch it sometimes. If my daughter were a teen I would let her watch it so that she can see how hard it is to raise a baby. Those girls don't realize what they are getting themselves into. I think there are some good lessons there.

I watch it and if my kids were older I would let them watch it to see having a baby so young is no picnic. I get irritated by it then stop for a while I hope they do a follow up to Teen moms2, to see if one of the twins was ever diagnosed. I only really like to be updated on the 1st two seasons..the newer ones never caught my attention. Gary and Amber...please get a life!

When we had cable, it was my guilty pleasure, althought I prefered the 16&Pregnant better, as each week you got to know the girls/family/dynamics better.

Is it 'appropriate?' Well I guess so. It shows the struggles of being a teenager with a kid. It shows teenagers watching that yes, in some instances it can work out well and that no, in some instances, you will get your heart broken or it'll be tons of work. I have a 3 yr old son, so am not 100% sure what I'd think about my tween/teen watching the show. But I think I'd be okay with it. Perhaps a 'scare method' would be a good form of birth control.
