Do You Remember the GloWorm Toys?
Do they still make these? I can't find new ones online and I'm assuming they just don't make them anymore? I really don't want to buy something like that used, and if it's considered a classic, I'm not trying to spend a fortune either.
I have no idea what brought this on, I just really want my kids to have a gloworm ;)
So What Happened?™
THANK YOU LADIES!! I'm so excited :)

My daughter loved hers so much, I dressed her as a glow worm for Halloween one year. I used thin light green material to make a big sack dress with a drawstring at the bottom, then filled it with yellow balloons. The yellow baloons showed through the green enough to look like it was glowing. Big hit of a homemade costume.

saw them at walmart just the other day. They are smaller now, well than i remember, and cuter, mine was just plain green. (and it's not just you, my DD has carebears and my little ponies just because I remember having them, and my husband had to buy our 8 month old some star wars toy that was re released in the original packaging, simply because he didn't get it for christmas one year and has since been scarred for life, lol)

My daughter has a glow worm...I'm pretty sure my mom bought it at WalMart or Target within the last few months. :) They still make them, and they're not expensive.

I still have my GloWorm and it still works! And no I won't let my son have it it's mine:) hehe. I know that they still make GloWorms- I think Playskool makes the GloWorm ( it does not look like the classic we had growning up it's smaller) and Fisher Price has a Sea Horse. My son has the sea horse and LOVES it. I have seen them at Target I think.

Keep looking. I have one and it was a gift. Surely Toys R Us has 'em? Try Ebay.

I remember them - I just don't think they make them anymore...
I would search through garage sales and estate sales...that's where you find some of the "classic" toys!!
If I had any - they would be yours!!!

Yep! They have a cute glo seahorse, that my son LOVES. It plays soft music, when you push the belly, too. The regular glow worms are pretty classic!!

My baby sister got a glo-butterfly for Christmas about 25 years ago. She was 4 1/2 months old. She died just after New Years.
My mother sent it to me about three years ago when my eldest was a baby (yes, my mother really had kept it all those years). She was absolutely enchanted by it. I just fixed the light bulb in it again last week for my third baby. Again, absolutely enchanted by it.
Nothing truly worthwhile to add to your post, just thought it was neat that you brought it up when I'd just fixed it and was using it again. Good luck in your search. I love mine, not only for the sentimental value attached to it, but that it is such a beloved toy by my children.
