Do You Know Any More Free Advertising Sites?
I started my own business and opened "Expressions of Glory", my furniture and decor business in Colleyville. I am looking for more ideas of how I can advertise for free or very inexpensive. I try to keep all my prices very low and therefore I try to save on any kind of expense. Any ideas are welcome.

Since you are in Colleyville, I think the Colleyville Chamber is one of the best I've ever seen. There are a lot of opportunities for marketing and networking. Networking groups are another way to get your business in front of other businesses that want to network as well. Those are usually the cost of a lunch and I find they have a lot of direct results. There are lots of sites where you can build a free or almost free website. Most of them even have templates which makes it SO easy to do. I also have a lot of friends with their own businesses and they do blogs for their business. You can add pictures or whatever you want. Then just do everything you can to get the URL out there. Put it in your email signature line, put it on business cards, etc.

I recommend you read "Free Publicity" by emmy reporter Jeff Crilley. He does talks locally on how to get free publicity by the media. It has been very helpful to our company and could to you as well. Everyone has a story to tell and you just need to find what separates your company from the others and be willing to contact the media for some attention.
His website is www.jeffcrilley.com He offers free talks which are awesome and if anyone would be interested in having him do a talk in the DFW area for Mom's on Mamasource let me know. Maybe we can host a talk for Mom's who need publicity - just a thought!
