Do Infants/toddlers Get Body Odor?

My son is 17 months old, and I've noticed ever since he was born that he gets body odor just like adults. I'd never heard of this, but sometimes, after he's been very active from playing and running around, I feel like I need to put deodorant on him! What gives? Is this normal. I thought all of that happened at puberty....

Yes they do. =) My son used to sweat on his head and it smells RANK! Just plop them in the bathtub every night and don't worry about it.

Sure they do...they get dirty from playing, they are still wearing diapers...they will stink if you don't clean every little crack and crevas. Forget the deodprant....Johnson's baby products or the products of your choice will do the trick!

I still love the smell of a clean baby, just powdered and oiled! Such memories.

Blessings.....

I LOVE the products by Canus Lil Goats Milk. I use the bath gel, lotion and powder (corn startch) on my toddler. Ok, not every day, but the point is the lotion and powder are great for covering up some of the smells that they get. Or mama gets after running around outside.

You bet they stink! My 4 year old GIRL has learned that she can't fool me about how well she washed in the bath because I can smell if she didn't wash with soap! Take heart though, I think a stinky kid is the sign of a kid who has had a busy day playing. And that's what life should be all about at that age!
