Do I Need to Put in the Fridge?
I bought Newman's Own Olive Oil and Vinegar dressing....I don't see a thing about putting it in the fridge. So do I need to keep it cold?

Stereotypically oil and vinegar are not kept in the fridge, but there might be other additives/ingredients that make that a necessity. Usually there is an 800 number for questions on the label. Give that a try maybe.

Is there an 800 # on the bottle for comments & questions? Call that and ask.

I use oil and vinegar all the time and have never kept them in the firdge. The oil will usually harden if you do and its not needed. Unless there are other ingredients in the dressing, you dont have to refrigerate.

with Oil & Vinegar dressing it's usually about personal prefrence as far as wether or not you like your dressing at room temp or cold. If it's a creamy Oil and Vinegar dressing then I would absolutely put it in the fridge.

I would say yes once you have opened it.

Olive oil solidifies when refrigerated. I doubt it needs to be kept cold if it says nothing on the bottle. If you want though, you could put it there, and just remember to let it reach room temp (take it out for a couple of hours) before dinner or whatever.

It depends on the type of dressing. A creamy dressing may have egg in it and should be refridgerated, a see through dressing if it is a vinegarette type can stores better on the shelf because putting it in the fridge sometimes causes the oil to harden and it doesn't mix well. The vinegar will keep it from going bad. I often make my own vinegarette dressings and keep them in the pantry at room temperature and have not had one go bad yet.

We have used this dressing and if you put it in the fridge then the olive oil gets hard and you cannot use it until you "thaw" out the oil. So, we do not put it in the fridge we keep it in the pantry. We have done this every since we first purchased it.
