DisneyWorld Trip in November

my bible was the Unofficial Guide to Disney...carried it with me. We went in July, so it was a lifesaver as far as planning around crowds, but full of great info. get it or something similar, and prep for the trip. not a place where you want to fly by the seat of your pants!

I personally loved Animal Kingdom lodge and will recommend the dining plan and comfy shoes.

Hello-we went last December and stayed on the grounds at Coronado Springs-it's a step over the cheapest on site hotels so I was hoping to avoid the most crowded hotels and it was very nice. We got the dining package and the hotel had a very nice restaurant which counted as a quick service but was a nicer sit down feel-some definitely did not and felt more like a McDonalds.
The hotel itself was nothing special but the convenience of the whole Disney thing makes staying on the grounds a very nice experience.

We just came back from Disney the end of August. We were there for 5 days. We stayed at the All Star Resorts. 3 big pools and onsite dining. Just walk out to the bus for where you wanna go...Downtown Disney, Amimal Kingdom, Epcot.etc. just a short ride and there you are. Yes....buy the meal passes...well worth it. Also I would suggest in bringing a lightweight poncho for everyone....we encountered short rain showers everyday...but enough to get you drenched. Opt for getting the ride passes....that way you don't have to stand in line for an hour...they give you a pass to come back at a designated time...and you go to the front of the line. We had the greatest time...and even 5 days wasn't near enough. Have fun!

How fun!!! The best thing to do is stay on property. When you stay on property all the perks you get is more cost conscious than staying off. The extras you get when you stay on property are:

Transportation from the airport and back with luggage delivery. This is awesome because you just go find your bus and someone else gathers your luggage and delivers it straight to your room.

When you buy souvenirs you don't have to lug all your bags around, they have a service that will deliver all your bags back to your room. No one enjoys carrying their purchases on rides.

Also, transportation around the parks straight from your hotel on property is so nice. Other buses for outside park hotels I've notice don't run as often or as late into the evenings.

Every property I've stayed at in WDW has been a blast. I've stayed at the budget resorts which have been great, lots of big bold colors for a 4 year old to be in heaven. I've also stayed at top of the line and enjoyed those too. If you family enjoys a rustic atmosphere shoot for the Wilderness Lodge, they even have cabins you can rent. Or if you want a lively atmosphere then try The Boardwalk, lots of fun there.

I have a child with food allergies so in the past I was not able to purchase the dining plan, but everyone who gets the dining plan swears that is the only way to go when eating at WDW.
