Dishwasher Recommendations - Grand Blanc,MI

I am so psyched about my new dishwasher! I know its a crazy thing to be excited about, but it is so incredible compared to my previous ones. It is a Bosch model SHX6AP0 with concealed controls. It has so many great features and is ultra quiet :) We consulted consumer reports and this one rated well, Lowes ordered it in for us and delivered and installed it. I know there was a rebate on the unit and one for delivery/install that left us paying about $500 total. Nice adjustable racks and removeable side mounted silverware baskets. Lots of cylce choices, nice dry cycle, very efficient, ect. Totally love it :)

I LOVE my KitchenAid dishwasher. I've had it about 3 yrs and it is fantastic.

I got mine at Best Buy and paid about $1200 or so. Mine has the stainless steel inside, hidden controls and works great.

I am not familiar with the ones priced less than $1000.

We really like our LG. It's VERY quiet, dishes are dry, even tupperware (although they sometimes have a few drops), and the controls are not obvious at all. We got a white one with stainless tub, and it was under your budget (can't remember exactly). Whatever you decide, check the decibel level. They all list them now...so you're be able to find one that is quiet. That was high on our priority list.

I would check out Consumer Reports. They should have it at the library.

We bought a stainless steal LG (more for the looks than anything) a few years back. The normal wash cycle is 2 hours....way too long if you ask me. And if you don't have Rinse Aide in, the dishes are dripping wet afterwards. IF you do have Rinse Aide in, you have to allow the dishwater to sit closed for a good 30 mins AFTER the 2 hour wash for the dishes to be fairly dry. Never thought to inquire about a cycle time or dishes being dry. Just expected a normal wash time & clean dry dishes. Just thought I would mention this to you. Good luck!

Hi J., I bought a Kitchenaid 2 years ago and have been very happy with it. It gets dishes very clean and dry (although I have very hard water at my house and need to use a bottle of dishwasher cleaner every couple of months). I should also say there are 5 people in the house, and I LOVE to cook, so I run it at least twice a day. It is very quiet. Was about $700 at Lowe's (not stainless). Good Luck!
