Discontinued Crib Conversion Rail Kit Needed!
I own 2 Simplicity Ellis 4-in-1 convertible cribs (now in day bed configuration) for my twins. I would like to convert them to full sized beds, but I didn't purchase the rail conversion kits when I bought the cribs 4 years ago. Now, Simplicity is out of business COMPLETELY. It's like a ghost town online trying to track down anything Simplicity. I've tried Craigslist, Ebay, Overstock, etc , and every baby store imaginable. My next thought is to get any kind of conversion rail kit that would (hopefully) be a close match in color to the cribs. However, I'm worried that the holes won't match up, and I'll end up having to drill holes, and mess up the (expensive) rails. Ahh, a lot of work with three small boys under foot all the time. Does anyone know where I can buy new, used, any kind of Simplicity rails.. or something that would be compatible? Thank you!

Call or visit a local mattress store. We opted to not purchase the rails for our convertible crib and now we're ready to convert it. The local Sleep Country salesperson had several viable options for us to consider.

Might be quicker and less expensive to just invest in a couple nice new twin beds. I found a beautiful day bed for my oldest daughter when she was ready at a nice furniture store, and it was on clearance for $80.

I'd sell what you've got and buy a new bed.

If ebay, craigs list or amazon doesn't have it..I doubt you're gonna find it. I'd hire a carpenter/handyman and he should be able to help you match paint, drill etc. ESPECIALLY if you are afriad of destroying it yourself

most of the conversion kits are pretty similar. So when you go to a store or online take pics of what your crib rail area looks like and the dimensions of where things are at. I'm sure you'll be able to find something that way.

We had the same problems. I found out that the headboard will attache with the extender plate which you should have to a full metal frame, so that is what we did. Hope this helps.
