I offered to make dip for my nephew's graduation party tomorrow and I was going to do a mexican theme. However, my sister just told me that she bought all the potato chips, so now I need dip recipes for chips. I made a french onion dip and I was thinking of making a BLT or a Bacon/Cheese dip. Any other ideas? It can't be cooked.

What can I do next?

I am sure there is a lot of variations of a fruit dip you can search. Can't think of the yummy pink one I did along those lines...... here is a idea of one type

1 pt. sour cream (or unflavored yogurt)
1 (8 oz.) tub Cool Whip
1 pkg. of INSTANT vanilla pudding

Combine all ingredients in large bowl until mixed well. Serve with a variety of fruit chunks for dipping as: apples, bananas, melon, strawberries, pineapple chunks, peaches

Potato chips then the BLT dip is great.

Also if you take Green onion dip and add Blue cheese crumbles to it.. it is amazing. I have had people tell me they hate blue cheese, but they love the dip..

The only other potato chip type dip we make is a crab dip.
Purchase 2 cans of crab, drain most of the liquid.

2 large blocks of cream cheese softened..

1 bunch of green onions sliced finely with some of the greens

Tabasco sauce 4 dashes

Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp

Fresh lemon juice 1 tsp. Or to taste

Stir all of this together.. Yummy..
Have fun and congratulations to your nephew!

You said no mexi-dip, but this one is AWESOME. Try it some time. People request it from me ALL the time.

Taco Dip:
Mix cream cheese (2-3 8 oz. packages) & mild chunky salsa (1-2 cups) until smooth. Add chili powder & cumin (to taste), and a small dash of red pepper. Stir in sour cream (1-2 cups). Spread into a casserole dish. Top with shredded mexican-style cheese, sliced green & black olives, sliced green onions, & diced roma tomatoes. Serve chilled.

So good!!!! I think I'll make some tonight. :)

Chilli Bean Dip:
Melt a brick of cream cheese into a can of chilic beans (the one w/meat)
in a small pot on the stove. Done.

p.s. If you don't have to keep w/the Mexican theme, I love the TGIFriday's frozen spinach dip w/chunks of bread.

or make your own artichoke dip: mayo, sm jar of artichoke hearts chopped up, mixed w/tiny can of green chilis. Mix. Bake. Done. Yum
