Digital Scrapbooking
I am wanting to create a nice digital scrapbook. I'm pretty good with page layout, so I would like to find a product that allows for creativity. I've designed two books through PhotoWorks and have searched out other similar services. I recently purchased MemoryMixer, but found the product to not be user friendly. I liked the idea of being able to add my own backgrounds and Audio/Visual to the book. However, I'm just not loving the product. (Plus there email helpline is VERY slow).
Has anyone used a product they really liked, outside of those listed above? I've used Microsoft Picasa for photo editing and love it. I'd like something with similar capabilities for Digital Scrapbooking.

I have used 5 of the online photo services for prints, cards and books. If you are looking for something simple that turns out spectacular then Shutterfly is the best. It is easy to use and allows you to crop and change photos. Their free software is easier to manage than the Adobe and it downloads everything automatically. I couldn't be happier with the end product and you can order additional copies in different sizes for grandma. Originally you gave up a lot of choice to use it, but they are adding stuff all the time and I find myself sticking with the basics. I download my pictures during a vacation and have the book within days of our return. Good luck.

T.,
I have been using Adobe Photoshop Elements and/or Corel Snapfire Plus. Both let you do what you mentioned in your e-mail to varying degrees. They are both fun to work with. Both also provide picture templates, backgrounds and wizards. Photoshop lets you be more creative I think.
I hope this helps.

Creative Memories has a wonderful digital scrapbook, it's called storybook. You can go to www.mycmsite.com/jeanawesson then scroll down to the blue box in the middle of the page and click on free storybook download. Click on download free storybook creator software now and follow the instructions. It will create an icon on your desktop that once you open it, you can click on check for pricing and new themes, then scroll down to download additional storybook themes. There are 24 8.5x11 themes and 27 8x8 themes to choose from. You can download them all if you want. When you create your storybook, you can change from one theme to another within the book!
In Sept. CM will be introducing new storybook software that will allow you to create your own storybook from a blank 12x12 page (just like traditional scrapbooking). It sounds really awesome!
If you'd like more info, just let me know.

Hi T. -
I enjoy using Heritage Makers. They have a ton of backgrounds, embelishments, letters, etc (over 20,000 pieces). Their books are amazing quality and they have a great guarantee. They back up everything so if anything happens to your book (fire, flood, or even if your child loves on it too much), they can be replaced for 1/2 price.
I'm also going to scan the scrapbooks I already have made by hand and create a Heritage Makers book out of those so I feel more comfortable with my son looking at them.
I promise I am not a pushy sales person - but would love to tell you (or anyone else) about Heritage Makers. Feel free to call me at ###-###-#### or email me at ____@____.com website will take you directly to Heritage Makers - www.staceykerr.com.
Hope this helps!

Hi T.,
Creative Memories has just come out with a brand new software that allows you to have pretty much total control over page layouts and adding different enchancements to your pages. The software also allow you to add your journaling to where-ever you want to on the page.
If this sounds like something you would be interested in let me know or you can check it out cmphotocenter.com

Hi T.!
Go to picaboo.com - you can put together digital scrapbooks (there are TONS of templates and options to choose from). You can even order a real printed copy of any scrapbook you build; I did this for my husband's first Fathers Day and it turned out wonderfully!!! Any digital scrapbook you created can be saved and sent to anyone you like. It's easy and fun!
Good luck! :)
