Question 1--Has anyone found a diaper pail that they just love, meaning, it is odorless?

Question 2--My son is now crawling and he is leaking out the sides of his Huggies diapers, I thought about changing to Pampers Cruisers. Has anyone used them, and what is their experience, or the best type of diaper for this stage. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I have the diaper champ. Works well. no stinky odor.
For the diapers I used and still use, Pampers baby dry. They fit the best and are like 10 bucks cheaper a box than cruisers. Never once had a leak, not even over night.

Diaper Dekor

Pampers Cruisers are great. I also found that Luvs are very similar to Pampers and are cheaper, maybe worth a try.

Another vote for the Diaper Champ. It is easy to use, holds a lot, uses regular garbage bags, and we have not had any problems with odors even after years of use (we are on baby #3). But I think the biggest key to odor control for any diaper pail is time. If you empty it every three days or so it should not be a problem. There are also things you can add to the pail to help, like baking soda, charcoal, and a number of commercially produced odor fighters.
As for the diapers, I can't offer much advice because we use cloth (another nice feature of the Diaper Champ for us, can be used with cloth or disposable diapers). But I have heard if leaks have recently become a problem it may be time to move up a size.

I never used any fancy diaper pail...I put the poopy diaper in those plastic bags that Walmart gives, tie it up, and throw out in the trash.

#1 - Diaper Champ. I like that I can use my own trash bags and not make little diaper sausages or have to buy expensive refills.

#2 - I LOVE Pampers, but that does not necessarily mean you have to change him. Try going up a size.

We had a Diaper Dekor Plus diaper pail that I really liked, but it was costly with the diaper refills that we had to buy, but it was for the most part pretty good on keeping the odors in the pail.

Can't really help you with diapers since we always used Huggies and never had a problem with them.

I had the Diaper Dekor Plus and absolutely LOVED it! There was no smell at all, but as someone else stated, the refill run about $20.00.

I have never tried Pampers Cruisers, but used Luvs and they worked great!

I'm echoing other posts but we've had our Diaper Dekor Plus for 3.5 years and it's still great. Refills are expensive, but it does not smell and that's key.

Have always used Pampers Swaddlers and then Cruisers and never ahd problems with leaks at all.

Diaper Champ - reasonably priced at Target and you can use your own regular kitchen garbage bags.

I have a girl, but I hear Pampers are better for boys.

I absolutly HATE the diaper genie, smells all the time. We can't wait till Justin is potty trained, that thing is going right in the trash!

We loved the cruisers, but they are a little pricy so we moved to Luvs and had no problems, just during the night sometimes.

Never used a diaper pail. It goes out to the the garbage can in the garage right away. We use the Kirkland brand from Costco and they are great. They have all the features of the name brands, gathering around the legs, elastic waste band, etc. My daughter has big thighs and a larger rump and those diapers never leaked. Costco's Kirkland brand wipes are great too.

My Diaper Champ worked perfectly for us. I had 2 under 2 so we were doing double duty and it remained odorless for the most part. If we had a particularly bad diaper, I'd wrap it in a grocery store bag first, but that was rare. with 2, maybe we didn't have too much of a problem since we had to empty it frequently!

I agree with Pampers Cruisers too.

This is the one I use. It is nice because you can use any plastic bags. We have not noticed a smell at all after several days of dirty diapers. Hope this helps!

We have the Diaper Genie 2 diaper pail. It really is oderless and works great! The down side to it though is that you have to pay a lot for the bag refills because it doesn't take normal garbage bags. It adds up fast! We may replace it with a Diaper Champ b/c it takes garbage bags and we have friends that are happy with it. Oh yeah, another downside to the Diaper Genie 2 is that it seems like I'm changing the bag all the time! It fills up fast!

Pampers Cruisers are the best out there that I've tried for my little guy. But we usually use the Sam's Club (Member's Mark) diapers b/c they work really well and are much cheaper.

Hi Jennifer,

I cannot really advise on the diaper pail. Mine was odorless for a little while, but I couldn't wait to potty train my son just so I could throw ours away.

As far as Pamper's Cruisers-I absolutely loved them. I bought one pack of regular pampers in the two and a half years my son wore diapers and ended up discarding half the box because they fit so poorly. The cruisers are great because they provide alot of stretch. They feel comfortable and I only had problems with leaking in the middle of the night sometimes. I highly recommend them.

Hi there Jennifer!

I cant help you on the diaper pail bit since I gave mine away within a month or so! It stunk and was a pain to use... probably due to user error! lol What I do is just throw the stinky diapers in a small bag- picked them up from Walgreens in the baby section and throw it away in that right into my kitchen garbage... we never smell it this way! They also have scented bags too which is what I keep in my diaperbag for when we are out...I dont care for the scented ones and that is why it got put in the diaper bag.

As for diapers... Pampers Cruisers are the best for us! Very rarely do we have leaks except for when it is time to go up a size. I have tried all kinds and these are the ones I find are the best for comfort for her and it moves with her. Right now we are struggling with going up to the next size but most stores only carry up to size 6. I have always had her in a size larger than needed though!

Good luck finding something that works for you!
